I recently visited Kerala Spice House, and it turned out to be a delightful culinary experience. The restaurant offers a warm and homely ambiance, decorated with subtle touches that reflect Keralaβs rich cultureβfrom wooden accents to traditional artwork. It immediately sets the mood for an authentic South Indian meal.
The menu features an impressive range of Kerala specialties, from seafood curries to vegetarian delights. I tried their famous Kerala parotta with Malabar chicken curry, and it was outstandingβthe parotta was flaky and soft, while the curry had the perfect blend of spice and coconut flavor. The fish fry was another highlight, marinated in traditional spices and served crisp yet juicy inside. For vegetarians, the avial and thoran were comforting and wholesome, reminding me of true homestyle cooking.
The service was attentive and courteous, with staff explaining dishes to those unfamiliar with Kerala cuisine. Portions were hearty, prices reasonable, and the food tasted fresh and authentic. What stood out most was the balance of flavorsβspicy yet never overpowering, with coconut, curry leaves, and mustard seeds enhancing every bite.
Overall, Kerala Spice House is an excellent spot for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Kerala food in a cozy, family-friendly environment. Highly...

So on this Tuesday 11/02/2025 , around 2 I visited this place , ordered for food ( chatty choru ) - veg and non veg , Initially made wait for more than 45 min, to serve, two days old rice , being a Malayali it is easily understandable wheather the red rice is recooked or not after keeping in fridge or not , the rice itself was re cooked and the following curries were just taken from fridge and served that cold , the waiters were least bothered to address. I had seen good reviews in Swiggy and Zomato but it's not worth , hygiene is another issue I don't want to mention you could see rats loitering Normally in Kerala hotels , we meet at least one malayali owners , I didn't meet anyone to complaint, we felt it is just Kerala name run completely by North Indians. Forgot to mention the chatty the served the food in, it was sided by green fungus I badly wanted to support thus with photos but my phone was...
Β Β Β Read moreSuch a very bad experience. Worst food I ever had in my life. I ordered Kerala porotta, Appam, Chicken Curry, Egg Roast & Tea.
Kerala Porotta - Frozen porotta heated and given Appam - like a cooked rice paste, no taste, no shape
Egg Roast - Egg was from the fridge, Gravy was like onion and tomato just half sauteed and combained with egg, served in a too dirty bowl. Chicken Curry - boiled chicken pieces dipped in watery coconut milk, no taste, no salt
Tea - Excellent tea, but you have it on restaurant table it will cost RS. 5 extra per cup. Same tea outside is selling at βΉ 15/-.
Never ever visit again.. Kerala is just in name, all workers are hired locally.
They serves old and rotton foods. If you visit here, make sure they prepare the food fresh rather than they just heating it up...
