Lizards, Lizards and more LIZARDS.... Yucccccck...

I happened to visit this place recently (July2023) after getting recommendations from a lots of people and so thought of visiting it to try it out. Please note this is not a fake review. I have seen it all myself. parking -- cramped with no parking. People have to park on roads and hence block traffic. Shame on the owner who charges so much and then expect customer to eats in the traffic... Literally there is no space to stand even and people end up pushing each other thus dropping their plates. costs -- way to expensive for what is provided. There are many other chaat centers around and very much better than this one. It's only the name people pay for I don't think it's even a brand (brands have standards - this one simply does not) Hygiene -- This is the top most for everyone I am sure and no one wants to take any risk. The person preparing your dish sweats in your dish, well they use gloves but also clean their sweats using the same. WOULD YOU WANT LIZARDS DROPPING OR ANY OF THEIRS IN YOUR DISH? they have so many out there and if one of workers sees a lizard on the wall or near lights he then tries to flick it over the customers on the road using a stick ( which goes over the food as well) and then all customers who don't think of their own Hygiene laughs. We couldn't have our food when we saw this and one of just vomitted. You would never know what's happening in the kitchen inside! The owner is careless about having kitchen cleaned and have some basic hygiene. Risk your health and should not be surprised if you end up in hospital after food poisoning once you have this. This should not be even rated 1* and should actually be banned by food and hygiene authority. You would end up paying Rs 300 for a chaat and then pay Rs 50k (atleast) to a hospital... Choice is yours I would never visit or recommend this to anyone. Take care of your health guys ... They just mint money at the risk of...

Absolutely overrated place.

It used to be good once, but now it has been bitten by that typical 'greedy lalaji bug' wherein, the moment all the businesses get popular and successful, they immediately lower their quality and standards, increase the price, and lessesn the portion size.

The concept of street food is that:

1. It has to be absolutely AFFORDABLE. People of every section of the society should be able to afford it. It has to be VALUE FOR MONEY.

2. It has to be DELICIOUS because Street food has to be finger-licking good.

3. The portion size has to be good enough for the price.

4. CONSISTENCY of taste and flavours.

Sadly, today, Raju Chaat Bhandar fails on all these four parameters.

Unfortunately, most business houses in India who get popular and successful become arrogant. Once arrogance sets in, greed and dishonesty also catches up.

This roadside Raju Chaat Bhandar now does not offer a HALF PLATE of Papdi Chaat or any other dish anymore. It forces one to shell out ₹150 for a FULL plate which has less of papdi and bhalla but is filled with dahi. It forces one to eat a bowl full of dahi. Probably the owners think the consumers are stupid fools.

What made Raju Chaat Bhandar's papdi chaat flavour unique from the rest was the flavour of that spice in their saunt chutney. Now that spice is not being used to cut cost. Imagine a popular, well-running enterprise cutting cost. Lol.

Even the gol gappas are worse than average. No sting in the khatta paani nor the flavours of spices and pudina.

When will the businesses in India stop behaving like lalajis??

Please do not travel so far to reach Raju Chaat Bhandar, maybe you have a better chaat wala just around the corner of...
