I normally do not bother reviewing places on Google Maps, but this place is so bad that if my review can stop even one person from visiting this pathetic excuse of a restaurant, I would be glad.
I visited this restaurant on 17-08-2024, in the evening around 7:00 PM with a group of 12 people. We informed the restaurant by physically going there 2-3 hours prior that we would be coming and that they should make arrangements if required.
Here is my experience:
Except for the decor of the place being decent, which is only average at best, everything else about this restaurant is just plain bad.
The staff is clueless and/or rude; if you ask a question, either they do not know the answer or are rude about it. They do not serve cold drinks in PET bottles; instead, they will serve them in disposable glasses with almost 300% markup. If you ask for a specific drink (Pepsi, Coke, or Thums Up), you are paying 3X the amount, so I would assume you can ask for a particular drink. They say it is a cold drink, just drink it, while the drink was totally flat. The same goes for the other drinks we ordered, lime soda equally bad, fizzless sugary water.
We ordered sweetcorn soups; both of them came completely bland, as if they were just hot water. When we complained, the response was, "What do you think it would actually be—sweet?" Only when we made them taste the soup did the staff realise it was literally just warm water, and they took it back.
I am quite sure that they served mock vegetarian kebabs instead of our order of chicken seekh kebabs.
After seeing all this, we decided to leave. We asked the head waiter how much time it would take to deliver our order; he immediately said it had not begun yet and would take 30 minutes. We asked him to stop, as we wanted to leave. He then changed his tone, saying that he actually meant the order takes 30 minutes in total, and now it would take another 5 minutes.
Our non-vegetarian appetiser was keema daana, mutton burrah. The dishes were so bad that we left them behind, which were ₹660 each—not a small amount, considering there were only 10 of the smallest possible pieces. Twelve hungry people could not finish what could be compared to 10 chicken popcorn pieces from KFC.
The vegetarian dishes were just salty and unappetising as well.
The only food item that was okay was the rumali roti, which I am sure they buy from elsewhere.
After all this, the head waiter had the audacity to ask me for a tip. After this; In front of his whole staff and cashier/owner, I scolded both the head waiter and the cashier/owner about the service and quality of the food. I outright told them to shut down the restaurant, and they could not say anything as they knew I was right. If not for my friends, who had to go to different corners of Delhi, I would have preferred to stay there longer and berate them just to get some value for my money, as the food was worthless.
This restaurant is a scam. Whatever reputation or quality it may have had in the past is no longer present. Please do not even give this restaurant a chance. Our bill was ₹2590, but in reality we barely felt it was worth ₹200 in any manner.
P.S. If a place has the power to ruin the mood of 12 people who have travelled from all over Delhi, just to experience a single-screen theatre like Liberty and were on a movie high, you can only imagine what it will do...
Read moreI had been to this place 3 times 2 times in march 2018 and one in Dec 2019.
The experience in 2018 was good. We got seats after a waiting period of 15 min. We got our food delivered at good pace. Quality was good too I went with some 10 guys with quite different tastes and they all were of the same view at that meal.
The reason for second visit was the price being fine and they gave some discount too. Both the taste, portion and services was good. I would recommend people to go
But fir the latest visit which i had. I am going to ask people from taking a second opinion as well. I went with quite a big circle. The expectations were quite high from my last two visits. This time the delivery was too too too slow. They jumbeled the order. This time there was not much of crowd. I don't know if it's because of their quality dropping to floor or Delhi's weather action. The food was of bad taste. Salt being added in abundance. Chef unaware of difference between veg noodles and haka noodles (i ordered both and they were pretty tasting the same and look same) Soya chap was as if it's fried salt.
Maybe it is little off day for the restaurant but i think the quality has dropped far too much and the service was slow and attitude of staff...
Read moreThe host standing on the gate was very very rude. First of all, i called them to ask if they can reserve a table for 9pm. They refused. I requested alot because it was a weekend and holi holiday. But still, fine, understandable. Then, after waiting for my family's turn (which was around 45 mins.) they let us in. Few of my family members had already arrived, few were literally parking their car outside, which would have taken hardly 5 mins. The host, kept on insisting me to call the other family members ASAP, otherwise he will give my table to another family. I was shocked! I told him "Sir please be a little considerate". On this sentence, he started shouting so badly. My dad and I were in shock! Thankfully my family entered the restaurant very next minute so he couldn't take our table. But the way he talked, just ruined my experience. Kindly take action on training the staff better for customer handling, because this kind of a behaviour can even take the restaurant to a...
