A Nostalgic Bite of Childhood, But Not Quite the Same I’ve been eating at Tarachand since my childhood, and this place holds a special place in my heart. Located in the bustling lanes of Chhota Bazaar, Shahdara, this shop has been a go to spot for generations, and their chhole bhature is legendary. Back in late 90s, when they were selling a plate for just ₹20, my school friends and I would often sneak in here after school. The aroma of freshly fried bhaturas and the rich, spicy chhole was irresistible. Back then, every bite felt like a celebration soft, fluffy bhaturas paired with perfectly spiced chhole that left you craving more. Fast forward to today, and while the price has understandably gone up to ₹90 (which is still reasonable considering inflation), the taste, sadly, isn’t quite the same as I remember. The magic that made their chhole bhature unforgettable seems to have faded a bit. It’s still good, don’t get me wrong, but it doesn’t have that same "wow" factor it once did. That said, Tarachand remains a solid choice for chhole bhature in the area. The bhaturas are still soft and well-made, and the chhole has a decent flavor, though it lacks the depth it used to have. The place is always bustling with locals and visitors, which speaks to its enduring popularity. If you’re in Shahdara and craving chhole bhature, Tarachand is worth a visit. It may not be the same as it was in my childhood, but it’s still a part of Delhi’s culinary heritage. Here’s hoping they can bring back that old magic someday!

You can visit for good taste here. They are famous in near by for chhole bhature, samose and sweets. And some of the local dishes in fast food category also served here I. E hol gappe, chat papdi etc. You may choose out Mainly from snacks. Crowed is decent here and it very rush here as this main market place. Please prefer to go by bike or on foot, this very congested place to visit four wheelers. Please avoid the evening time to visit here as this place gets fully packed from crowed and local traffic in near by market. Bience is like street food only. Not cozy or romantic. You will love if you prefer street foods. I recommend to try a visit here.
