Te Quila Express — Restaurant in Delhi

We have been visiting this restaurant for over two decades, and it has always held a special place for us. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was extremely disappointing and has left us with no intention of returning.

Food: The mutton kebab and tandoori chicken chilli were good (not exceptional, but enjoyable). The vegetable corn soup was also fair. However, the murg biryani was quite a letdown it had an overpowering achari taste and was overly salty. We shared this feedback with the team.

Service: Outwardly, the staff was courteous and service appeared great. But what happened with the food packaging was unbelievable. We were 4 adults, ordered 2 plates of biryani, but my mother couldn’t eat due to medical reasons, so essentially 3 adults shared the dish. We had about 1/4th portion left in one bowl and nearly 3/4th in the other. When we asked for it to be packed, I noticed right away that only the smaller leftover (1/4th bowl) was packed, while the larger portion was not.

This was extremely disappointing and felt disrespectful. My parents, not wanting to create a scene, asked me to let it go, but the gesture left a very bitter impression and very disrespectful.

For a place we’ve trusted since childhood, this was not just sad but also the final straw. Thank you to the team, but we will not...

Ok food, good seating and decent pricing (4 yrs ago)

Updating the rating after the last visit (Dec 2023): It was sort of a reunion with a few school friends after a long time, due to proximity to most, we met here. The food and quantity is fine, but service was very slow in fact even for our bill, we need to ask 3 times. They have live music which is very loud, you can't even talk to each other sitting across the table.

While paying the bill, I wanted to pay via Dine Out but they simply declined saying they do not honour Dine Out or any other app, even though the restaurant was mentioned on Dine out. That was a big put off. In case you are eyeing that discount via these food apps,...

It was a nice experience to visit for the birthday party of my 4 year old niece.. the place is easily located near Canara Bank..staff are also good and try to manage things properly.... DJ is there but you have to request to play DJ.... otherwise you will get bored as there is a lady who sings sad songs only ...I suggest events like birthday parties anniversaries and other events like this I prefer to play DJ ... Your lady singer will be best for those who came for drinking dining. Food and starter is good but the per plate cost is high with this type of buffet.
