Taste is ok ok, so much hype but its average, i guess 30 Rs reddi wala plate is better than him, which is in the front of vikas puri petrol pump A Block. I had almost from everywhere which is top most in our delhi Sitaram deewanchand , radheyshyam chhole bhature (paharganj) CL Corner (Motinagar) , rama chhole bhature (Tilak nagar) himalaya Sagar ( Uttam nagar) from last 25 years but this "Monika cafe" 3rd class behavior, first time i went there, ordered chhole bhature plate , and 2 table were busy i thought i should ask him to pack it and gave the order. but sudden those were eating they left the table, i asked packing person to , pls give it here will have it, dont pack. Sudden from back that OLD age owner in the age of 50-60 said " ek baar bolo pack kerwana hain ya khana " in very rude manner , i asked him when gave order table was full, he says its empty still. Read moreI have been visiting Monica Cafe for a long time, mainly for their Paneer Chole Bhature and Bread Pakoda, which taste great. However, despite the good food, I HAVE DECIDED TO NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE AGAIN !!!
The reason? The owner's behavior. He is incredibly rude—not just to customers but also to his own staff. Today was the last straw. When I simply asked for some extra chole (not for free, but as a genuine request), he made a bad face and reacted as if I had asked for something priceless. On top of that, he was loudly arguing with his staff in front of everyone, creating a very unpleasant atmosphere.
This wasn’t a one-time issue. I have ignored such experiences in the past, thinking it was just a bad day, but this has been a repeated pattern. No matter how good the food is, hospitality and customer experience matter the most. Unfortunately, Monica Cafe has failed in that aspect.
I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values respect and a good...
Read moreReferred to as one of the best place to serve paneer wala Bhatura in west Delhi, this small outlet dishes out plain Bhature chole, paneer bhature chole and puri chole. With just three table and no chairs to sit, the only way to have your food is to stand and have it or you could get it packed and take along as they do not deliver. Located in the Lane that connects outer ring road to the complex that houses pvr vikas puri, this place is situated on the main road, nearest metro station is the Janak puri West station. There is ample parking space on the road. Payments have to be made in advance and you have to wait for your turn as there is usually a huge Que. We opted to have paneer Bhatura and The Bhatura was crisp and loaded with paneer, the chole were decent and topped with small quantities of Palak gravy. Also served along with were onion roundels and a piece of pickled. I can't call it the best but they were certainly enjoyable, I have certainly had better chole...
