Read moreLocated off the Gateway of India, in the Arabian sea, this is an island that is an 30 mins ferry ride away from Mumbai.
It has a few caves which has sculptures that are hundred of years old. The ferry ride costs INR 200 for a return ticket. There are both vegetarian and non vegetarian places to eat on the island. A ticket to visit the caves cost INR 50 for Indians and INR 600 for other passport holders.
The last ferry of the island is at 5.30pm. There are no hotels here, so this place is good only for a day trip. Beware of monkeys here. Though they are harmless in most cases, but they would look at grabbing any food items you may...
