I recently visited Saiya Ji Puri Wale with high expectations based on local word-of-mouth, but my experience was extremely disappointing. Right from the start, the service was poorly managed and lacked even the basic sense of customer care.
One of the major issues was that they serve very late. Even though the place wasn't crowded, we had to wait a long time just to place our order, and even longer to receive the food. The staff seemed confused, disinterested, and completely untrained. There was no communication, and no one bothered to explain the delay.
When the food finally arrived, it was not worth the wait at all. The puris were extremely oily and seemed undercooked in places. The accompanying sabzi was bland and lacked any real flavor. The chutneys tasted stale, and overall the food did not feel fresh or hygienic. The cleanliness of the place was questionable as well — the tables and utensils looked like they hadn't been cleaned properly.
To top it all off, when we tried to raise our concerns, the staff responded rudely and dismissively. Instead of apologizing or attempting to make things right, they acted as if we were bothering them.
Overall, it was a completely underwhelming and frustrating experience. Late service, poor food quality, unhygienic conditions, and rude staff — this place needs a lot of improvement. I would not recommend Saiya Ji Puri Wale unless major...
Read moreI am a desi veg foodie and this place lived completely to my expectations. The hot sabzi and poori were a delight to the taste buds. We went on a saturday morning. Within 30 seconds the plate was served with 4 garam pooris, hot aloo and kashifal sabzi despite a heavy rush. The strong heeng flavour kept me engrossed in their taste and they served sabzi without any hesitation whenever asked for. I ate 7 pooris. My wife ate 6 poori and 1 kachori. Poori was priced at 10/- per pc and kachori was 15/- per pc. We also had rayta which was priced 20/- per glass. The gazar ka halwa was 520/- per kg.

You eat on a busy breakfast day, come out of the seating area i.e. shop and let the owner/cashier know your total bill yourself. They will take the amount you tell them. This trust system would work as a great marketing strategy for this decades old shop. The staff was good. The owners were courteous.
The location is accurate. You may not see any board on the main road. Take a left towards the location and you may see a board/banner inside the narrow street on the left or simply ask people nearby.
Since the parking is a problem, it is recommended that you commute by a...

The piping-hot puris served with flavorful aloo sabzi and the unique, sweet-sour petha or kaddu sabzi—plus refreshing raita, spicy chutney, and green chili, make every plate a memorable treat. Refills are generous and completely based on trust: you just tell staff how much you’ve eaten and pay accordingly .
Despite basic seating and occasional crowding (especially on weekends), the service remains impressively warm and brisk even under pressure .
What truly stands out is the legacy behind the place: a decades-old, family-run operation that started as a small kiosk over 60 years ago in Ghaziabad. From early beginnings near Dasna Gate to becoming a full-fledged eatery in Nehru Nagar, it’s still run by the same family—now the grandson of the original founder, maintaining the same authentic taste throughout .
