Betty's beach Shade shack — Restaurant in Goa

We are staying at the Leela, we went here last night and went back for lunch today. It is one of 3 places on the beach (end of season), the furthest from our hotel and the food is ‘ok’. It is a really nice place though, the kids love the puppies (so does the wife) they are really friendly and it’s as cheap as chips. 5 of us ate there today with 5 beers and other drinks, it was around £18. Really friendly, good service and excellent food. They do tone down the heat of dishes to cater for most tastes but all you need to do is ask for spicy if you prefer hotter. Not on the dessert menu is gulab which is a traditional Indian sweet but again just ask and it is there the next day. Betty's is in the middle of two other shacks just outside Leela hotel. Good...

Very delicious Indian food, great value and most friendly staff.

One night they hosted a wedding and didn't have seats available "inside" so they placed a table right at the beach especially for us. Was our best dinner in Goa.
