We stayed at Sudeshes place for 3 days, and we absolutely loved it. We came from Noth Goa, and hoped to find a more peaceful and less crowded invironment. When we stayed with Sudesh, we found exactly that!
The location of this place is amazing, if you have a car or scooter but like to stay in a quiet place. The beach is quiet, on a 10 minute walk there are 3/4 beach huts for local food and breakfast. No loud music, no parties at night. As this beach is a turtle beach, it is not allowed to put restaurants on the beach, and there are no lights on the beacht at night. We enjoyed the serenity of the sunsets, and would walk on the beach, back to our stay. In the morning you can see the beach from your balcony! There is also a foresty area in front of the beach, which is ideal for picnics. We used the trees to do some slacklining. If you want to go out for a party or a good dinner, Palolem is a 10 minute drive. We went to Ourem 88 there, and had a great time!
The internet speed is good for working at home. Some family-members are working online too, so the internet works good. There is also decent mobile internet from some places in hotel.
The best part about this stay is the hospitality of Sudesh and his family. They have a background in hospitality, and run this hotel as a family business. We met the family, ate homecooked dinner and even went on a boat-trip to explore the local beaches! If we met Sudesh or his brothers downstairs, they always asked if everything was OK and if they could do anything for us. We arrived at night, but they were very helpful and responsive. Sudesh knows quite a lot about the area, the rules and allows you to gain some insight into local Goan culture.
Thank you Sudesh, for this great stay! We will definately come back (before you turn your home into a 5-star...
Β Β Β Read moreIt is a nice and quiet place to stay without any loud music or disturbance or a plethora of bar shacks and loud talking drunken people. A small place with about 10 rooms and a couple of small thatched houses rented to foreigners long-term. Sachin is a great host and most helpful and humble guy who tends to anything you need very quickly. He has renovated the property quite recently and there is hot water and pressure pump for the shower, faucets, taps, etc 24/7. Except for the low voltage which keeps happening in the day due to Goa Electric, fans may not run smoothly in the day as you may like it. AC is a must from Jan to May. If you have your own vehicle for travel, you have a lot of exciting places to visit and eat around apart from Sachins restaurant. Can't depend on local mhaji bus from the beach to Chavdi, agonda, and cola as they are one or two in an hour at the max. Sundays, they are almost nil. It's definitely not a luxury stay, but it's definitely heaven for people who like things simple, quiet, and nice. The beach behind is almost like your private beach with not much visitors or just a couple of people who tend to their business of enjoying in the water mostly. The southern part where the estuary, church, and the shacks are where most of the visitors and are and almost nil on the northern end.. couple of lifeguards present here...
