Stepping into Restaurant 108 was akin to embarking on a culinary journey through the vibrant streets of South India. From the moment I entered, I was engulfed in the warm aromas of spices and the lively ambiance that hinted at the authentic experience awaiting me.
The highlight of my dining experience undoubtedly revolved around their signature dish, the Benne Dosa. Words fail to capture the sheer delight that unfolded with each bite of this exquisite creation. Crispy on the outside yet irresistibly soft within, the Benne Dosa was a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate. It's no wonder this dish has garnered such acclaim—it's simply super awesome!
Beyond the Benne Dosa, Restaurant 108 showcased an extensive menu that celebrated the diverse culinary traditions of South India. From fragrant sambar to flavorful coconut chutney, each dish was a testament to the chef's dedication to authenticity and quality.
The service at Restaurant 108 was exemplary, with attentive staff members who were knowledgeable about the menu and eager to ensure a memorable dining experience. The ambiance was welcoming and comfortable, making it the perfect setting for enjoying a leisurely meal with friends and family.
In conclusion, Restaurant 108 exceeded all expectations, delivering a dining experience that was nothing short of exceptional. With its delicious cuisine, top-notch service, and inviting ambiance, it's no surprise that I'm awarding it a well-deserved five-star rating. Read moreI recently visited Cafe 108 with high hopes, especially since I love their dosa's. While the food was tasty, my experience was marred by a lack of proper service and some hygiene issues that left a bad impression.
I ordered a plain Benne dosa and a ragi dosa with masala, but both arrived with masala in them. When I pointed this out, the server simply separated the masala from the Benne dosa in front of me and handed it back, claiming it was now "plain." Seriously? I chose not to ask for a new dosa to avoid wasting food, but the lack of apology or regret from the staff was glaring.
We decided to order another plain ragi dosa and kindly requested that they skip the three coconut chutneys (since they all taste quite similar) and instead add a little extra of the red chutney, which we find the most flavorful. To my surprise, the cashier laughed in my face and refused, which is honestly baffling for someone working in the service industry. Customer service is about making small adjustments to enhance the dining experience, not turning requests away with a dismissive attitude.
On top of the service issues, I also noticed that the dosas were drenched in ghee, which is a bit much for some people. Moreover, there was a strong unpleasant smell from the nearby gutter, which made eating in the area quite uncomfortable.
While the dosas themselves taste good, the poor service, lack of customer care, and unpleasant environment make me hesitant to return. I'd recommend the restaurant address these issues if they want to retain...
Read moreThis is a great cafe for a healthy meal. Really Good south Indian flavours. We had the ghee pudi masala Dosa, plain masala Dosa, parotha and mushroom ghee roast, coffee and tea. The owners are Goan very friendly and welcoming. The service was a little shaky we had asked for coffee without sugar and a black tea. We instead got coffee with sugar and milk tea. The coffee nevertheless was pretty good ( I ended up getting a second cup) and they replaced the tea with no fuss at all.
Dosas were good. Loved the coconut chutney the masala inside too was really good. Ghee roast was on point the fresh curry leaves really made the whole dish quiet vibrant. Parothas if they were softer and fluffier would've really hit the spot. man the filter coffee is on point. I would definitely come back for the coffee.
If I had to give any suggestions it would be to have taller stools for senior citizens. The concept of standing and eating is really nice reminds me of eateries in Banglore but I was with my parents and for them the experience would've been much more pleasant if they had a stool to lean on. And I agree with another review wash basin is Definitely needed. Over all it was a good experience. I wish them...
