If you are anywhere near Margao/South Goa, DO NOT miss this place. I discovered this place only recently after more than 10 visits to Goa and I regret not knowing about them before. The eclairs are out of this world! But you HAVE to order before hand. Just call in the morning and pick it up anytime during the day. If you go there without ordering before hand be ready to be disappointed because it gets sold out before midday and there is not much to do around this place if you are specifically going there only for this except maybe exploring the village of Rachol and the Rachol Monastery. The folks at Jila Bakery know how to make their eclairs the best and no doubt they have been running such a successful business without any marketing for so many years. There are also other biscuits, cakes which can be bought without a preorder. Finally, read up a little about the history of this place. Will make the visit and the eclairs all the more worthwhile. Good old Homebakeries are always worth the effort and time.
