Restaurant Name: Matsya Location: Mapusa, Goa Rating: ★★★★ (4/5)

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Matsya Restaurant in Mapusa, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The restaurant offers a unique blend of authentic Goan flavors with a modern twist, making it a must-visit for seafood lovers and those seeking a taste of local cuisine.

Food: ★★★★ The menu at Matsya is a seafood lover's paradise, featuring a variety of fresh, locally sourced fish and shellfish. The highlight of the meal was the fish thali, a traditional Goan dish that included rice, fish curry, fried fish, and a variety of accompaniments like sol kadhi and pickles. The balance of flavors in the thali was incredible, giving a true taste of Goan coastal cuisine.

Service: ★★★★ The service at Matsya was impeccable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were happy to recommend dishes and explain the ingredients used in traditional Goan cooking.

Ambiance: ★★★★☆ Matsya offers a relaxed and comfortable dining environment. The decor is simple yet tasteful, with a subtle coastal theme that reflects the Goan heritage.

Value for Money: ★★★★ Considering the quality of the food and the portion sizes, Matsya offers excellent value for money. The prices are reasonable, especially for the seafood dishes, which are fresh and expertly prepared. The fish thali, in particular, is a steal for the variety and authenticity it delivers.

Overall: Matsya is a gem in Mapusa for anyone looking to experience authentic Goan seafood with top-notch service. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this restaurant offers a true taste of Goa in a cozy and...

Nestled in the heart of Mapusa, Mastya Restaurant and Bar offers a fine dining experience that perfectly captures the essence of Goan cuisine. The ambience is inviting, setting the stage for a delightful culinary journey.😀😀

One of the highlights of the menu is their famous seafood thali, which is a must-try. The variety and freshness of the seafood make it a standout dish. We also indulged in the unique Chicken Kurkure starter, which was a delightful surprise—crispy, flavorful, and unlike any other dish I’ve had : The Goan classic, Chicken Cafreal Sizzler, was another triumph. It arrived sizzling and packed with flavor, perfectly showcasing local spices. The Mackerel Cutlet was equally impressive, and the Tissro Sukkha offered a hearty, flavorful experience that complemented our meal beautifully.💯😍 For those seeking a fulfilling meal, the Kingfish Thali is a great choice. It’s a generous serving that left us completely satisfied.🤤🤤 The Komde Vada Thali, essentially a chi thali with various gravies and an egg curry, was another highlight, showcasing the richness of Goan flavors.😍

Overall, our experience at Mastya was exceptional. The combination of delicious food, great service, and a vibrant atmosphere explains why it’s become a crowd favorite. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Goan cuisine in a...

If you are near Mhapusa, don't even think of some other place for seafood than #Matsya. Trust me, when I say this, all your seafood cravings will be taken care of here. Like every other Mahashtrian family, our first choice of vacation destination is Goa, especially when u are from Kolhapur. But the only catch is finding good food, which I'm sure many will agree. When we first visited Matsya, I was intrigued by their exclusive menu with unique preparations. And, they did not disappoint, it filled all my checklist. Mouth watering food, freshness and the presentation, all 5 star rated. The ambience is good. The owners personally pay attention to their guests and make sure everyone has the best experience, in all aspects. Please do visit if you are on your way or going out of Goa, for best seafood starters, Wada Kombda thali or fish thali with the company of delicious cocktails. They offer good and unique variety of vegetarian options too prepared seperately. Once here, the only thing you have to deal with is the confusion on what to eat. And ohh, don't forget to ask for their special menu.My personal recommendation #Tandoor Red snapper with beer cocktail. #goa #restaurantsinmhapusa #restaurantsingoa #goodseafood #mhapusa #freshseafood #fishthali #wadakombda...

My experience at Matsya was awesome! The ambience, the people, Food - everything was top notch! Especially the Goan thali. The vegetables were cooked well, the fish was well fried and the spices used were good, the prawn gravy was delicious (reminded me of my extended family), the dry prawns was very tasty as well! The food was fresh and well cooked. Nothing stale was served! When requested for an extra roti - it was freshly made and served! The best part was this sweet dish called ‘managana’! It’s a traditional sweet and a must try. The owner was kind enough to explain what that sweet was and was very warm, courteous and friendly! It’s a family place and has clean restrooms as well which is well ventilated and clean! The food servers were very respectful and maintained eye contact when interacting or even asking for feedback! Please DO visit Matsya if you’re in Goa (Mapusa)!
