I recently had the pleasure of dining at Monts, and it was truly a delightful experience that left me craving for more! This restaurant is a hidden gem that serves some of the most delicious Goan food I've ever tasted.
From the moment I entered Monts, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance that made me feel right at home. The rustic decor and subtle Goan accents added to the overall charm of the place, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.
Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my, it was an absolute treat for my taste buds! The menu at Monts offers a wide range of authentic Goan dishes, each bursting with flavors that transport you straight to the coastal paradise. From the tangy and aromatic fish curry to the succulent Tounge Roast, every dish was prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail. The seafood was incredibly fresh, cooked to perfection, and beautifully complemented by the traditional Goan spices.
What impressed me the most was the chef's commitment to using locally sourced ingredients, which added an extra layer of freshness and authenticity to the dishes. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors, showcasing the culinary expertise of the kitchen.

Read moreThis was an accidental find that I discovered when I went to Loutolim for a work assignment. Come lunchtime, this was the closest restaurant to where we were so we went over to check it out.
Monts Restaurant is large and extremely spacious with the outdoor seating overlooking a verdant patch of greenery.. which, during the monsoon, transforms into a lake. When I visited, the monsoons had just set in, but it was enough to make the surroundings come alive. Relishing tantalizing Goan food and lime sodas with friends, while staring at the beauty of Goa's interior villages is an experience you should savour if you get the chance, especially before this restaurant gets popular. I'm sure it will - because it's absolutely lovely!
What's great about little, locally run spots like these is that the portion sizes are generous, the taste of the food is unmatched and the prices are extremely affordable! While not many affordable local restaurants can't boast of a great ambiance, this one has the location and ambiance to its advantage too.

Read moreMy overall experience was a beautiful & peaceful evening well spent. This place is well tucked in from the hustle and bustle of life. There were a few local groups enjoying the game and the evening with us. They have a good option of goan food serving veg, seafood, chicken, beef, mutton & pork. We had fish cutlets, stuffed mushrooms, beef chilly fry goan, pork amsol, butter garlic naan and beef roast each & every dish was lip smacking good. We are waiting to try this place again for lunch and give the seafood a try soon. This place is very inviting, value for money. Even though the portions are a bit small, the flavor makes up for it and leaves you with a satisfying smile on your face. We left the place as...
