Our lunch experience at Nama - Waterfront Eatery was absolutely fantastic and an afternoon I won't soon forget! From the stunning riverside setting to the delightful service, this restaurant is a true gem.
Exquisite Food & Stunning Setting
First and foremost, the food was simply outstanding. The menu, offering a multi-cuisine selection with global and local influences, showed remarkable skill and quality. Every dish we ordered for lunch was a flavourful masterpiece—fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. Dining by the water during the day, with the serene river view as our backdrop, only made the delicious cuisine taste even better. The kitchen at Nama clearly delivers a gourmet experience that elevates coastal dining.
Exceptional Service from Mr. Sagar
However, what truly made our afternoon memorable was the impeccable service, specifically from our steward, Mr. Sagar. He was the perfect host! Mr. Sagar was not only highly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu but was also genuinely jolly and wonderful to speak with. His warm, engaging personality made us feel completely at ease and incredibly well looked after. He offered excellent recommendations and ensured our meal progressed smoothly and happily. Stellar service like his is a rare find and truly enhances the entire dining experience.

The interior design is so nicely done, and they even have a small replica of the Christ the Redeemer statue from Rio de Janeiro lol. The music can be a bit loud sometimes, but it's nowhere near as obnoxious as Kiki By The Sea or Thalassa.
The food was just ok; the desserts were amazing. But there was one major flaw: no table lights. So you can't see your food while eating after sunset. We had to use light from our mobile phone.
Dinner: 😐 Veg Thukpa -- It was just ok. It had a nice amount of veggies, but the noodles were plain hakka noodle. The dish felt like something you get on the streets in Himachal Pradesh and not worth the high price at Nama. The veg thukpa at Yeti is 10X better. 😐 Flying Khao Suey Noodles -- Really cool presentation: they use the hard noodle to hold up the chopsticks. The broth was nice and not too sweet. But the ratio of noodle to broth was off. There were too many dry noodles, no soft noodles, and not enough broth to absorb it. Also the flat plate is not the best for Khao Suey. A traditional bowl would have worked better. The Khao Suey at Sopo is 10X better.
Desserts: ✅ "Live Tiramisu" -- the best tiramisu in Goa! (even better than Ruby's). It consists of 4 alcohol & coffee soaked biscuits, with Mascarpone spread around it, and then some chocolate sprinkle and a fresh blueberry and flower.
