Riverside Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Goa

An honest review this was the best restaurant of mine , but something need to be changed if this restaurant, about 12:30am from Calangute we skipped all nice restaurants and i decided take my important clients to this restaurant as my previous experience was excellent before one year, I entered and asked whether the restaurant is open, person sitting there on counter side , his response was, kidr se aya tum, I said Calangute then he said nahi kaha se aya , I said darwazay se , so he replied so restaurant is open na ,from which. I got disappointed at first, later we ordered 3 chicken fried rice and paneer Manchurian everything was nice except the chicken which was not fresh, informed the server to change it as it was not fresh, he changed to egg fried rice, so this was my experience being an repeat customer to this place . Though it says Riverside, it’s not located exactly next to the river nor it has a view of it but still has a very peaceful and relaxed ambience. The specialty here is Goan seafood dishes, which they also show it on display on request. Other than this they also have North Indian,Tandoor, Chinese and Goan dishes priced at affordable rates. The staff and the service here was good. . So as per the fresh catch of the day, we ordered Rawa fried pomfret, Mackerel and chonak thali. Both the thali’s came with rice, Tandoor roti, Mackeral fish curry, Mackeral ambotik, kismoor, cabbage bhaji, salad and ofcourse the fish. The thali’s were good with decent quantity.You can also ask for extra gravy, no charges applied. . The rava fried pomfret lacked a bit of salt. So squeezed in some lime and enjoyed it. Shocking. We felt so sorry for our good friends who had told us this place was worth going to. They must have had a bad night when we went. The starters were ok, but you can't go wrong with tandoori chicken and onion rings. I had mutton biryani which was so tough and salty. My wife and friends had butter chicken and it was the worst meal we'd had in the whole month we were in India. It was so hot it actually burnt their mouths.
