I've know and heard of this restaurant for many years. We went for lunch on 27th July, at around 1315 hrs, there were just a few tables with guests. When we went up to the restaurant the waiter was stacking chairs. I told him we want to sit at the table overlooking the road for the view, which he put back the chairs to the table. We ordered for 2 fish thalis and some soft drinks. It took some while for the drinks to arrive, but no problem. A little later a group of ladies arrived and wanted to sit at our table and spoke to the waiter, he then comes to us to tell us to shift to which I politely refused saying we came early and my son is enjoying looking at the traffic. He again asked . And I said sorry we not shifting. Then I noticed, people who came after us got their food before us. And it was the thalis they ordered. Our food took so long to come. And the fish was not good. Not good. Was this done on purpose because we refused to shift. We told him to get the bill and that also took ages to come. I knew there were people wanting to sit at our table , so not to waste time when we were eating o told him to get the bill. And that too took ages. He is the waiter with glasses. Is this the treatment your waiters give to us Goans. His attitude was bad just because we are Goans. We tell others about good food we eat and as Goans we will go to any end to enjoy the food, but to be treated with respect. Your restaurant had a good name, but these waiters are the ones that bring a bad name to your...

Sheela is fine dine restaurant and bar located on NH 366, 7 kms from Vasco city centre

We were a party of 7, headed to Vasco Railway station for our train, when we chanced upon this restaurant.

Since we were in a hurry, we wanted to quickly grab dinner and get set on our way forward to return the rental vehicle; I had a quick glance at the menu and a word with one of their staff, who assured they would be able to serve the food in the next 15-20 mins, if I ordered in a single go.

To which they delivered, all our food was on our table in the next 15 minutes or so, the staff who was serving our table was courteous and ensured any other items we order or any refills we needed were taken care of.

Food was delicious, specially Paneer Xacutti, we were happy we could get piping hot food served to our table in a timely manner.

Coming to other staff, the watchman of the restaurant was very helpful and ensured we crossed the road safely at all times.

Some of the other waiting staff gave cold looks and passed off couple of snide remarks though; could overhear something to the tone of "Delhi walon ka bahut attitude hai"; for someone who has stayed a majority of their life in other states (outside the hindi belt) across the length and breadth of our country, not sure what made them say so.

Either ways hats off to the server at our table for managing everything so quickly, which ensured we could turn in the rental vehicle ahead of time and continue to our...

I had checked into the restaurant early evening yesterday for dinner with four of my family members. This is regarding an unexpected behaviour from one of the waiters standing at the deck portion of the restaurant. I am attaching his photo as I was not given his name. Although it was quite early, this person told us that we can not sit on the deck (it had a table with four chairs overlooking the road) as it is meant for bigger groups. We asked whether it was a reserved table, he said no but that some one may still come. We are from Goa itself and so frequently visit your place that we have an idea of when the restaurant is crowded the most so we sat in the deck area. Mind you all this while anoher group of only three people were sitting in the restaurant which was almost Visibly offended at this he followed up with poor service tactics. Having finished our dinner we again confronted him and asked him where his bigger group was as no one had turned up so far. Then he started shouting, please don't talk to me. Beemari aur guest kisi ko bolke nahin aati hai etc. Then I went to the counter and asked for the manager or owner's email id or phone number or feedback register which I was obviously not given as I wanted to speak to someone who is looking after this as we live nearby and are frequent customers of your restaurant J P Verma Vidyanagar Near...

Disappointing Experience at Sheela Restaurant and Bar We had a truly unpleasant experience at Sheela Restaurant and Bar. Despite ordering masala papad, shinane, and chonak fry, the service was nothing short of chaotic. After repeated follow-ups with the waiter, only the chonak fry eventually made it to the table, while the simple masala papad never arrived. The shinane was served after we had already given up and requested the bill. To make matters worse, the seating was atrocious. We were placed next to a stand where leftover food was kept, which was uncomfortable and unsanitary. Even worse, when a large group arrived, we were asked to move closer to that area to accommodate them. The group itself had no sense of courtesy, adding to an already dreadful experience. Overall, the combination of terrible service, poor seating arrangements, and an unruly crowd made our visit to Sheela Restaurant a huge disappointment. We won’t be coming back anytime soon.

We ordered Pork Vindaloo, Vegetarian Xacuti, Chicken Cafreal, Prawn Pulav, Goan Bread and Fish Fingers for Kids (as these are non spicy) Pork Vindaloo was nice and tangy. Other things are quite decent too. But none of them is a wow!!. None of them makes you wanting to come back to Sheela. We particularly didn't like the prawn pulav because there were hardly any prawns in it. Service was a big let down. Waiting time for rotis, rice was a lot. Worst is that the waiters are not trained, our fish finger plate costing 450, was taken away by waiter with half of fish still left in it, it was meant for kids who eat at thier own speed. A dish costing that much being taken away without even being asked for it totally not acceptable, basic training of courtesy and service has to be given. When we asked for replacement of fish taken away, the head waiter refused. Hence I'm rating the restaurant 1 star for service as they are just not trained

I had heard about this restaurant that the food is great and ambience is great too. I was surprised by not just the food served but also the behaviour of staff. I had ordered one veg thali, one fish thali and mixed fried rice and chicken cafreal, and honey chilli potato as starter and caramel custard as desert. The veg thali had rice, a bhaji, dal, paped salad and pickle. The Chinese item was fine but the cafreal chicken didn't taste good. But the fish thali had rice, fish gravy, rawa fried fish and one bhaji, No salad no kishmore. Even a road side vendor selling fish thali at 80 RS gives either salad and/ or kishmore. I asked the waiter regarding salad etc, and the waiters response was you shouldn't have ordered fish thali it's not worth it there no salad or kishmore though the charge is 160 RS. He asked not order fish thali in future and refused to get any salad. It was a disappointment at Sheela.
