My worst experience of dining in with my family, let me start by saying this and trust me when I say this for our experience is true. We ordered for a plate of rava fry king fish which had the most thinnest slice for 700 per plate and then comes to order some chicken for my kids and here you go the chicken lollipop and pls check out the pics u will see that this was the second time this was redone and brought to us with this condition because the first time we ordered it it was even more badly cooked there was no taste or spice or salt and the chicken tasted raw and the second time it was the same with a smell from the chicken who the hell does not know how to make a chicken lollipop and runs a restaurant for so many years and has so many reviews, I bet there is a lot of fake reviews that run this place. I did see these reviews and land myself in one of the worst experience of our dining. Coming to the prawns curry it was made with drumsticks 🤣🤣🤣 I’m not kidding it had that u can see the pics as a proof of our dining. What r u doing Mr owner you can call me and I have one word for you is shut down. You sit and charge me 3400 for me to sit and see street dogs Roaming around inside a restaurant and they were smelling of odour and if you do have them at least treat them with care, because we and the other in the restaurant witnessed the waiter lifting the dogs with their legs and beating them up, next a restaurant filled mosquitoes and the worst is yet to come their were even rats. You have the audacity to sit and charge us with such bad food and ambience in power with fine dining restaurants, your nuts Mr. Owner. Ok beat this to all the readers and ppl who have giving 5 star rating, we had fan just over our table and it was running at the speed of 5, getting our food so cold to consume and when requested the waiter to turn it off believe me he said this (Your fan and the table next to you share the same switch and if I have to turn off your fan the next tables fan as well turns off, and i laughed and said ok at least reduce the speed and he says the connection is direct) man oh man I wasted my dinner plans with such a horrible experience. And if the owner has anything to say about this that this is fake I uploading the bill as well. This place is fit for only Goan Thalis and nothing else that ur cost is only 350rs for one. They are not a fine dining restaurant and they should not even call themselves one. I bet the rest of your food that is prepared by your chefs are not going to be worth...

We recently visited Smita’s Lake View Restaurant after seeing numerous recommendations online and from social media influencers. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing and did not live up to the hype at all.

To start with, the overall hygiene and cleanliness of the place left a lot to be desired. The flooring was dirty, the surroundings were unkempt, and there were flies hovering around the food — making the environment feel unhygienic and uninviting.

Based on the waiter's recommendation, we ordered the Crab Xac Xac (Chef’s Special), priced at an outrageous ₹1200. What we received was a very small portion made with undersized crabs — not even close to what you'd expect at that price, even in fine-dining restaurants. When we raised this issue with the owner, he dismissed our concerns with a curt “this is what it is,” showing no interest in feedback or customer satisfaction.

To make matters worse, our half-eaten plates were taken away without even asking if we were done. That level of service was shocking and unacceptable.

We also tried the Squid Batter Fry, which was passable in taste but again overpriced at ₹500. Additionally, the staff clearly stated that thali orders would include only small-sized fish because the larger pieces were reserved for starter items — which felt very unfair and commercially exploitative.

Overall, this was by far one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had at a so-called local restaurant. Unless the owner takes serious steps to improve hygiene, staff behavior, and most importantly, the pricing — we do not recommend this place to anyone.

You’d be far better off enjoying a quality meal in an air-conditioned fine-dine restaurant with fair pricing, better food, and far superior service.

While the seafood and lake view might appeal to tourists, as a local, I can confidently say this place is not worth the hype or the price. Locals are aware of better options offering superior quality, hygiene, and...

I visited this place on 7 april 2024 after watching social media short, so we came all the way from condolim to visit this place, after entering we waited in a long queue for getting a table, so thought it was one of our best choices. But it was a bad day for us or them i don't know, first of all the restaurant was full but waiting staff is not at all professional to handle a service situation, they created a mess, each and every table was shouting for not getting attended, and not getting order on time.. We got drinks on time, straters also on time, but but but we ordered 3 surmai thali we got only 1 thali, we was waiting for total 1 hour after serving 1 thali, we were asked several time to waiter where are rest of thali but there only answer is is its coming... But then it never came, we kept seated hungry and left without having thali. It was a ridiculous experience... When we finaly told waiter very calmly cancel our 2 thali order as it is too late so his attitude was, ok no problem, cancel it no issue at all... So attitude was hame farak hi nahi padta... Also only good thing is food we ordered was chonak and prawns fry was good in taste, fresh, but the bad part is surmai thali is a big blunder, as it only 1 thali came on table, so we tasted it all thali item was tasteless and not at all quality... Thaught everything from kitchen was finished and they served us last items from vessels they cooked, ( as crab claw has no flesh, little gravy, some clams has no flesh all, no solkadhi/ kokam pani was served. If you finished your kitchen item, you could tell us straight a way while taking order, but they kept on saying its coming... If the owner reads this comment, please consider this review positively, please add some more staff in kitchen, add some good professional waiting staff.. And when you can not serve food because of shortage of staff, you have to take limited...
