Aura The Restaurant & Banquet — Restaurant in Gujarat

We were a large company. Tables were booked in advance. Our attendance was confirmed and reconfirmed 3 times. All veg and non-veg items on the menu were promised to be available. Everyone came on time. And we were the only group at the restaurant for some time. We ordered within 10 mins of our arrival. However, it took them 45mins in some cases to deliver the food. We were not told that it would take such a long time. And the weirdest part was that some dishes like pizza arrived much earlier than prawns. Usually, a 5* restaurant of a well-reputed hotel would inform you if the dish was taking over 15-20mins to prepare. I cannot imagine why would "grilled" prawns or soup, or salad that's on the menu take over 45mins to prepare?! While taking the order the waiter asked if the GRILLED PRAWS should be dry or in gravy (hmm, strange question, but ok), and when they arrived, both dishes were soaked in something wet, not even close to grill. Any order would take forever with at least 2-3 reminders. And they argue! "Indian" is fast to serve, but "Continental" takes time. Seriously?! Anything declared on the menu should be served within 10-15mins unless stated otherwise. It takes a max of 10min to make mashed potato at home! So why a restaurant takes longer?! And don't even get me started on the water bill, and a total bill waiting time... Food quality is so-so. Not worth the wait and the price tag! Is this a 5* MARRIOTT?!?! Total disgrace to the brand. Everyone there should be sent to an extensive training. No next time for us. Total...

I am fond of this restaurant as everything fits perfectly what a hospitality industry is expected to deliver.

Food is well cooked, tasty and delicious, hence I have given a 5 star rating.

The service is very good. They allow room for decision making while ordering and help with their insightful inputs, making dining a pleasant experience. Hence 5 star rating is rightful.

While dining the atmosphere is very good, lighting good ensuring one can see what one is eating. Besides this most of all is that the odors and food smells from others dining does spoil one's appetite.

The passageway is clean and broad enough so there is no congestion with guests passing by. The tables and seats are good. The toilets are spacious and clean and placed towards the end and away from the dining rooms.

There is a banquet besides the Table d'hote service area where parties and events can be feted.

Not at all recommended if you are looking for a good place to eat with a family. You will surely waste your time and money and moreover spoil your day with the pathetic staff and service. Asked multiple times to clean plates, tissues / hand towels but staff was least interested in getting it. I finished the starters and waited for half an hour for the main course, we asked the person at reception, can we cancel and pay for starters, then he called the kitchen guys multiple times to serve the food. We just finished the dishes we ordered and left, and didn't had patience to order more. We left without having a complete lunch.

Pathetic service, food quality is also below average.
