I placed an order on Swiggy from Dominoβs, relying on the appβs estimated delivery time of 20β25 minutes, as I needed the food urgently. However, the experience was absolutely terrible. The Dominoβs delivery boy was juggling 4β5 orders at once and kept delaying with excuses like β10 more minutesβ for over 1.5 hours. Despite repeated follow-ups, the delivery was consistently postponed. If the restaurant takes longer, why does Swiggy display such short delivery times? Worse, thereβs no option to cancel the order or request a refund when delays occur. Whatβs the point of ordering through Swiggy if I canβt cancel when I no longer need the food? The delivery executive was unresponsive and unprofessional. After waiting 1.5 hours, I had to pick up the order myself, defeating the purpose of online ordering. Even after escalating to Swiggyβs support, they couldnβt connect with the restaurant despite multiple attempts and kept closing the chat without resolving my issue. I was told to stay online waiting, but Iβm not obligated to keep following up. The latest support attempt ended with them admitting they couldnβt reach the restaurant, yet they still closed the chat and asked me to wait again. From now on, Iβll avoid advance payments on Swiggy and stick to cash on delivery to avoid wasting my money.
