Mumbaiya Misal and Vadapav is a newly opened snack shop exclusively for famous Bombay style Vadapav and Misalpav only. It is one of the only few places in Ahmedabad to serve the original flavours of Mumbai famous Vadapav.
The kitchen here is an open one and hygiene is well maintained around the place. Seating capacity is also provided for a bunch of people arriving the place. Sanitizers and tissues are available for safety and cleansing purposes.
Also, met the owners of the shop and were ready to accept and improvise on the current taste as shared by us.
I have heard of this place in Foodaholics in Ahmedabad group on Facebook. The photos were very attractive and soulful that I couldn't resist trying it. My friends and I went this evening for a quick masaledar snack.
The best part of this place is all the items of our order are prepared in front of our very eyes. The staff also maintains proper amount of kitchen ethics and cleanliness. All the items are accompanied by freshly fried salted green chillies. You can get more as required. That's not an issue at all.
Our order:
Additional Vadapav: The taste was too good and was really amazing trying out this flavour. Fried salted green chilli, chopped onions and Chevda was added to the Vadapav.
Schezwan Vadapav: Set the mark so high as compared to other items on our order. Schezwan chutney, made by their own secret recipe, is the hidden gem of this flavour. Extra dried garlic chutney was added along with loads of chopped onions to make the Vadapav spicy and delicious. Fried chillies are an advantage.
Kanda Bhajji Pav: Totally new concept brought to the town. I was excited to try this one out. Was a bit disappointed with this dish though as the flavours of onions didn't dominate among others.
Bhajji Pav: Potato bhajiya, made out of thin slices of potato, sandwiched in between the Pav. Nothing extraordinary but the way of presentation is impressive.
Samosa Pav: This one was suggested by the owner. Freshly fried Samosa placed inside the Pav with sweet chutney, green chutney and dry garlic chutney put alongside to incarnate and boost the combination of flavours. Filling of Samosa was good but I think it could have been made better.
There's also an option to customize your food item and choose the required veggies and sauces available here.
I would definitely be visiting this place again for trying their Fried misal pav as recommended by the owner.

First impressions were really good. Hygiene was maintained and also all the dishes were prepared after the orders came so that customers can get fresh items! Vadas are also not pre-made and fried freshly in front of us. Sitting arrangement is also quite nice. Menu is also wide and rates are pocket friendly as well!

Read moreIf you're a fan of authentic Maharashtrian street food, then MMV - Mummaiya Misal & Vadapav is a must-visit! Located conveniently in a clean and accessible area, this outlet serves some of the most delicious and flavorful street-style food I've had in a long time.
I tried their Misal Pav Thali, which came with piping hot tarri (spicy curry), fresh pav, farsan, and a side of salad with lemon and onion. The misal had a rich, spicy flavor, topped with fresh coriander and a generous dollop of butter, adding that perfect touch of indulgence. The pav was soft and fresh, toasted just right.
We also ordered Vada Pav and Samosa Pav, served with fried green chilies – classic street food, done right! The vada was crisp on the outside and soft inside, with a mildly spiced potato filling. The samosa pav had a tangy, flavorful kick. They even offer Bombay grilled versions of their pav items, which I’m excited to try next time.
The onion-tomato salad served on the side was fresh and spiced with chaat masala, adding a nice balance to the heavier dishes. I also loved the garlic naan served with the misal, which is a rare and delightful twist.
The staff was polite and service was quick. Seating is outdoor and clean, with red plastic stools and tables, giving you that authentic Indian street-side dining feel.
With prices being very reasonable for the quality and taste, MMV is a gem for locals and tourists alike. Highly recommended for a quick, satisfying meal full of bold,...
