Worst place I've visited in Surat. Surat is known as City of Food and Taste but this restaurant owner runs a big scam and gimmick on the name of charcoal dosa.
Stage 1. Let's talk about the menu first. You will see pictures of big, loded plates of dosa with relevant sabji. As soon as you get the menu card the owner or captains start to throw their marketing strategies on you like anything and they pretend as if they understands your taste and palate and starts suggesting I would radher say imposing you the high priced and precooked items out of their menu. They hammer their suggestions so much that one gets confused and leave the rest order on them. Here they play another smart thing to ask you to order for the plain dosa and they insist you to order the crispy one which they have already stocked. Stage 1 of the scam accomplished.
Stage 2. They will make you wait like anything and after waiting for 10 to 15 minutes the waiter will come and serve the precooked stock sabji/bhaji only without any dosa. They will make you wait for another 5 to 10 minutes for the dosa. I have seen the first restaurant which serves sabji/bhaji before and without dosa. After waiting for 5 to 10 minutes dosa comes but in batches. If you have ordered 1 mysor masala and 3 plain dosa they will serve you the bhaji first and after 5 to 10 minutes they will serve you 2 plain dosas rather then serving 4 dosa which you have ordered. And by the time dosas arrives most of the pepole have finished half of the bhaji/sabji out of temptation which situation lead them to order for another overprised dosa dish. By the time another batch of plain dosa from your order arrives and the cycle of demand and supply breaks. This is the malice logic of the owner of this restaurant. I would like to draw your attention on one thing that the sabji/bhaji they serves, they serve in a small and shallow plates. The quantity of the bhaji/sabji is not more then 150 grams for which they charge 280 Rs. And in above all scenario their captain repeatedly pokes you to order precooked stocked crispy plain dosas.
Taste of the sabji/bhaji is very blend and almost similer. You can only differ them by their color only, very disappointing.
They don't serve unbottled water on table. If you ask for it they will show you the way of water filter as if they are showing you the washroom. And for the bottled water they charge 30 Rs. for an unbranded so called alkaline water.
They top every sabji/bhaji with cheese which remains cold throughout. Thus, you can imagine how they don't serve freshly coocked sabji/bhaji. Even in the garlic cheese dosa cheese remains unmelted, I don't know how it's possible with a fresh cooked dosa.
Condiments: They serve 3 items as condiments. Sambhar (Sweet and more tastes like Gujarati dal) Coconut chutney (Made out of packeged dried coconut shaves) Tomato onion salad.
Stage 3. Here comes the final showdown. They don't provide the bill on table. You have to go to their billing counter which is situated at the entrance of the dining area. They run the scheme of 15% discount to attract the people but they don't offer that discount by default, you have to instruct them to make the discount and after that they tender another discounted bill to you.
So it's simply not advisable to visit this restaurant.

We asked the person over there to allow us to change the table as we were feeling hot. There was a table opposite and we suggest as if it is fine we shift over there, the person over there told that many people are outside waiting so will not be allowed to shift. But the real story is no body was waiting outside and mainly half of the restaurant was empty then how come waiting was there. Then also we insisted that please make an enquiry if no waiting is there we will shift over there. He went to the cash counter to make the enquiry and now the story starts he went there and had fun and had chit chat with other staff. My husband went and asked what the solution was, they simply said you can leave and we cannot allow you to shift. Wow what an answer, we had order at our table we just left the same and walked out. The staff are really rude, please have some sense to talk to your customer. Will post the same on all social media to let other customers...

The restaurant has a comfortable and inviting ambiance. It's well-lit, and the seating arrangements are spacious enough to accommodate both small and large groups... The service was prompt and attentive. The staff was friendly and readily offered suggestions from their menu when asked. They seemed knowledgeable about the dishes, which helped in making our choices.... The highlight of the restaurant, undoubtedly, is the dosa. They have an impressive array of dosa options, both traditional and innovative... Each dosa was expertly prepared, with a thin and crispy texture, and served piping hot... their Coconut Chutney and Sambar, which were the perfect accompaniments to the dosas. The chutney had a delightful coconut flavor with a hint of spice, and the sambar was well-balanced...
