I am Gujju & foody person. I had ate the worst ever Gujrathi thali at this place. The food served was very cold & tasteless. And the tribal lady staff is busy with their own work & they hardly bother of serving food to you. We ordered unlimited thali but nobody came and served again & we have to call them for serving again & when we call them, they will show their own attitude and talks rubbishly. No value for people & no common ethics on how to treat people. Their behavior & attitude is very pathetic. Its downside of this cafe & its name as well. Coming to the Food which is not up to the mark, they are treating us like we are enjoying free of cost food. They don't even try to serve fresh and hot food. They don't even know how to to please the guests by good quality food and whenever we give them some advice/feedback to focus on such things, they will ignore us & blame us like this is how it will be & its best. I mean wow !! Good Suggestions & feedback dena bhi paap h in logon ke liye. Especially the lady manager sitting at the cash counter is so rude, so arrogant, so egoistic & treating the guests like a roadside beggars. This café is in the premises of Statue of Unity & they should at least treat people in good manner if they scant serve good food. Statue of Unity management should take some actions on the ladies working in this cafe & teach them some ethics & manners on how to treat & respect people. Because of few people like these who are putting black spot to all the beauty of Statue of Unity. Worst ever experience !! Think 100 times before going & having food here !! Its complete embarrassment & money wastage !! Isse accha, tasty & sasta khana to koi tapri ya simple hotel me...

Ekta Tribal Café is located inside Ekta Nursery.
Here you will get fresh and delicious tribal food, cooked right in front of your eyes. The service, the cooking, the management etc all activities are taken care by the local tribal women, which is great boost to any community. The feeling of being self-reliant is matchless with any other feeling! The best part is the multiple variety of breads or rotis – chana roti, plain roti, thepla, bajre ki bhakri and whatnot! Eat to your heart’s content, when you order the unlimited thali. But, the real story is that you would not be able to eat all items as the list is huge and your tummy is small. Service and hygiene levels are good.
It was inaugurated by our PM Modiji and given open to public in October 2020. You may avoid the golf cabbie cart here as there is not much of a use for them. You can easily cover this nursery place on your feet. There are ample facilities provided for drinking water and washrooms. Neat and clean.
One advise would be to go before noon or after 3pm, so as to avoid the heat! Parking is allowed here & entry fee is nominal. Do not forget to purchase tickets from main counter. Debit and credit cards accepted. UPI will be starting soon.

Read moreI had booked the tickets for this online through the SOU app. The structure of the cafe (actually a restaurant) as also the chairs is very much in line with the name viz. Tribal... Have attached the outer and inner photos for reference. The serving staff (all of them locals and ladies which is a great step by the Gujarat government) were very courteous and attentive to the patrons. Lunch starts with a welcome Jaswand (Hibiscus flower) drink to be taken with a sprinkle of lemon and Butter milk or Chaas as it is locally called. Main dishes are again local (obviously since it is a tribal dish) which included Methi pakoda, makai and jwari roti, wheat roti, muthiya bhaji, soya bean bhaji, vaal bhaji, sweet kadi, sweet daal, six types of pickles or achaaar, papad and jeera rice along with fryums. We had opted for unlimited option however the food is very filling. I would highly recommend this cafe all visiting Statue of Unity. Overall a 5 of 5 especially for the serving...
