I recently dined at Honest Restaurant, and unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. The food quality was subpar, and several dishes left much to be desired. Also the place was too noisy.
We were 4 people there, and we have ordered Fried papad Dal Khichdi Pav Bhaji Rava Masala Dosa Mysore Masala Dosa Cold drinks (thumbsup)
Firstly, the Fried Papad was overly greasy. Dal Khichdi was bland and lacked any discernible flavor. It was almost as if it had been cooked without any spices or seasoning, making it a forgettable dish.
Moving on to the Rava Masala Dosa, it was a disappointment as well. The dosa was too thick and overcooked, making it too much crispy like Papad and difficult to eat by my grandmother and mother. The masala filling lacked the traditional flavors and was quite bland.
The Butter Pav Bhaji was another letdown. The bhaji was cooked in oil and served with butter on top and lacked the rich, flavorful taste that pav bhaji is known for. It felt like it had been prepared hastily without proper attention to seasoning.
Lastly, the Mysore Masala Dosa was also disappointing. The masala lacked spice and flavor, and the dosa itself was overly loaded with edible gun powder. Sambhar served with both the Dosas was too watery and tangy as well.
Overall, the dining experience at Honest Restaurant was far from satisfactory. The food quality was below average, staff was not good at all, and I would not recommend it based on...
Read moreWorst. Worst. Worst. Although can't describe the experience in words, as a Professor, I do have lot to say about this place.
It was a nightmarish experience for our family at this place. We ordered Paneer Butter Masala, Few Roti, Chaas and Hyderabadi Biryani.
We found a sharp kaju shaped plastic from the food which my wife was just about to swallow while chewing food. If swallowed this could have been fatal. On complaining, the manager tried handling us "sorries" and stuff and later connected us with a person named Mr. Moulin (probably owner/director of this Honest franchise (Shangar Foods Private Limited). But this guy was so called busy with "other important commitments" and didn't bother to come there immediately.
As a shocking surprise, a next table complained of a "insect" in the food at the same time.
As a brahmin Hindu, I just felt like vomiting at once. What sort of quality checks do these guys have in their kitchen is something only God knows. They have invested very neatly in the aesthetics of interiors of this place but I wish the owners had rather invested in quality kitchen with utmost hygiene standards and better chef who cooks food with care.
I have all the necessary proofs and visuals of the incident. But would refrain from posting here as of now as I believe, it's only words and words are all I have to...
Read moreWe ordered a Masala Dosa and a thali. Masala Dosa came in early, and was fine. The size of dosa was impressive, however, I didn't like the masala and sambhar. Coconut chutney was good.
We kept on waiting for thali till 40 mins, but they didn't serve it. After many reminders, they kept on saying it will come in 5 mins, but it never came. Other tables where the guests came later than us, got there thalis first, but we kept on waiting.
The waiter serving our table was rude as hell, like he was obligating us by allowing us in his restaurant. He was some new person, recently appointed who did not know basic etiquettes of behaving with guests.
The ambience of restaurant is good, however, the outside area was stinking like a washroom, inside area was fine.
All in all, I was disappointed with there service and that waiter's behaviour, will not prefer to go to such a place, who don't know how to behave...
