I recently dined at your place, drawn by its promising reputation and great location. While the food was indeed flavorful, the experience was marred by significant issues with service, facilities, and overall comfort.
Food and Location
The food itself was enjoyable and well-prepared, and the restaurant’s location is convenient and appealing. However, the positives end here, as the rest of the experience fell short of expectations.
Service and Facilities
The service setup and facilities need considerable improvement:
Washroom Facilities: The washroom was poorly maintained, with insufficient water supply and a lack of cleanliness. At one point, I considered leaving to find a nearby washroom—a disappointing reality for a restaurant aiming for a quality dining experience.
Service Quality: Despite having staff, service felt disorganized and inattentive. Our party of six was crammed into a table meant for four, and at times, I had to leave my seat to flag down staff for basic items like a missing salad plate. It’s a red flag 🚩when customers leave their seats to get attention, detracting from the dining experience.
Staff Attitude: Both I and other family members felt the waiter’s attitude was dismissive, bordering on rude. This lack of hospitality left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.
Ambiance and Cooling: Due to a heavy crowd, the cooling system struggled, and we had to repeatedly ask the staff to turn on the air conditioning or adjust the cooler. The crowded, uncomfortable setting gave us the feeling of being at a highway "dhaba" where truck drivers often stop to eat, rather than a restaurant with quality dining expectations.
Overall Impression
While Kake di Hathi has potential due to its food and location, the disconnect between the brand image and the actual experience is significant. The heavy crowd, poor cooling, lack of cleanliness, and inattentive service reflect a lack of basic hospitality. This left us eager to finish our meal and leave rather than enjoy a relaxing dining experience. With better training, improved facilities, and a focus on customer care, this restaurant could...
Read moreThe staff needs training and needs to be literate, atleast to the extent to understand their own menu. The waiter cleaned the table and let food fall on the sofa where he wanted us to sit. Next, I had a tough time asking for the accompanying sauces like soya sauce, chilly sauce and chilly vinegar with my soup. By the time they got it, my soup went cold. They goofed up the starter I ordered and instead prepared a curry and made us wait till eternity only to serve an undercooked starter. The size of the nans that I ordered were also messed up. I ordered chur chur Nan and was served a hard pita bread like roti made of suji which was cut into pizza like slices. Palak paneer was salty and daal tadka which I requested to be spicy was just bland. The sweet kullad lassi was nothing near to what we get in Delhi. The washroom was a mess with water spilled everywhere, wet mops lying here and there and a huge garbage bag filled with garbage hanging in the entrance to welcome you (don't expect tissues!). Heights of the disregard to hygiene was that one of the waiters kept the spoons and forks in his dirty jeans pocket. So beware when you ask for an extra spoon! I couldn't have a worst experience than this by spending 1300/- for such a disaster. One star is for the comfortable chairs and ac and because there is no option for negative ranking. Hope the management reads this and tries to improvise. Was really expecting a good experience of Delhi food in Vapi but...
Read moreI recently dined at Kake Di Hatti and had a generally pleasant experience. It is a pure veg restaurant.
The restaurant's ambiance was inviting, with a well-maintained seating area that offered a comfortable dining environment. The food, which was the highlight of the visit, lived up to expectations in most aspects.
We ordered the Amritsari Stuffed Kulcha and the Tandoori Soya Chaap. Both dishes were impressive in terms of taste and portion size. The Amritsari Stuffed Kulcha was flavorful, with the stuffing generously filling the bread and complementing it perfectly. Similarly, the Tandoori Soya Chaap was well-prepared, with a nice balance of spices and a satisfying texture.
However, the dessert experience was somewhat disappointing. We had the Ferrero Rocher, which unfortunately did not match the distinct Ferrero Rocher taste. Instead of the rich, nutty flavor one would expect, it resembled a chocolate milkshake more closely. This was a letdown, considering the high expectations set by the rest of the meal.
Overall, Kake Di Hatti offers a solid dining experience with good food and a pleasant atmosphere. While there were a few areas for improvement, particularly with the dessert, the positive aspects of the meal make it a...
