Read moreI recently dined at My Restaurant in Vadodara, enticed by their non-vegetarian offerings. The experience was a mix of highs and lows, leaving me with a balanced perspective.
The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Pahadi tikka. Bursting with robust flavors and perfectly charred, each bite transported me to the mountains. The marination was spot-on, infusing the meat with a harmonious blend of spices. It's a dish I would undoubtedly return for.
Moving on to the butter chicken, my excitement waned. While not outright disappointing, it fell short of the standard set by the Pahadi tikka. The sauce lacked the depth I expected, and the chicken itself was a tad overcooked. It's not something I'd rave about, but it's passable if you're looking for a familiar dish.
However, the biggest letdown was the service. "Lousy" might even be an understatement. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, taking their time to acknowledge guests and fulfill orders. It significantly marred the overall dining experience and left me with a sense of frustration.
In conclusion, My Restaurant offers a mixed bag for non-vegetarian food enthusiasts. The Pahadi tikka is a clear winner, showcasing the kitchen's culinary prowess. The butter chicken, while not exceptional, is still a reasonable choice. Regrettably, the lousy service casts a shadow over the meal, reminding diners that a great dish can be overshadowed by poor service. If improvements are made in the service department, the dining experience here could be elevated to a much...
Read moreI wish there was an option to rate in MINUS. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience. We ordered for a plate of CHICKEN MALAI KABAB for starters. After 15 min of waiting a plate of kababs were served that was RAW from inside, completely UNCOOKED- it was impossible to cut with the fork or even chew. We sent it back and waited for another 15 to 20min for them to rectify, cook the kabab well and serve. For the second time now- the kababs were burnt from outside and IT STILL WAS completely RAW from inside. By now we had already lost over half an hour trying to have our lunch- so we decided to leave. The waiter forget apologising for this horrible level of service, had the audacity to ask if i still “felt” the food was uncooked. Decided to give him a thrashing, pay and leave. The person on the billing section however did not take any money and we left disappointed and angry. IT’S A WARNING FOR NON VEG LOVERS- DO NOT VISIT THIS RESTAURANT that claims of Indian food but cannot serve you even a plate of well cooked kabab. Spare your time and reach for better alternatives in Vadodara such as Kareems and Bayleaf(that is where we headed after the horrible...
