I had my meal here in 1995 š³, which will be surprise to many. Then I was posted at Bhuj and only 20 years old. On 31 December 1995, suddenly few of my friends made a plan to visit this beautiful beach town and we reached there around 1PM. Without any references, we had our lunch in this restaurant and believe you me, we were flabgastered by the food and hospitality of the owner. They didn't let us move for more than an hour, the more we said that our stomach is full the more they served us and at last it was difficult for us to move š¤£š¤£. These guys were awesome. If I remember correctly they charged us Rs 50 or 60 per person. The food was tasty and hospitality was awesome. That time no mobile or internet was available so giving my review now. Must visit for each and everyone coming to the town. Thank you team OSHO, hope I will meet you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you're in Mandvi, please do not skip this place! The food is exceptionally good. They just have one menu item: Prem Wali Thaali. Every waiter is extremely polite and infact encourages you to try all the items. All the delicacies are unlimited, even the Jalebis and the Dhokla. The place was full during lunch hours, so expect to wait 3-5 minutes before a table gets vacant.
The price is also very less for the value they offer you. It is Rs. 170 per thaali and by the time your stomach is full, you'll realise that the price is nothing.
One minor hiccup could be finding the eatery. It's embedded deep inside the market, and there is absolutely no parking space for any 4 wheelers in the vicinity. Even with Google Maps, it'll be a mild challenge to find the place, because it's on the 1st floor of a very ordinary...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you are in Mandavi and dead Hungry and if you have not have dined at this place then you have lost the most amazing moments and food in your life time. Your visit to Mandavi is not complete without lunch at this restaurant. You really would have to make efforts to reach the narrow lanes of contested market and then would give a second thought to see it on the first floor of a dingy entrance. But hold your horses, do take that extra effort to climb the stairs... And wait for your Gujarati Thali to arrive. All your doubts and anger would vanish, moment the owner and staff start serving. Not only the food is exceptional, but with the wit and fun they serve you, you would die of laughter. You won't stop eating as if it's your last meal and they won't let you get up till you are bloated to 10 kgs heavier...
