We have been to Sante Spa 4-5 times for now. On the first day when it was opened, we had visited this place. At that time, we remember, we faced difficulty coming to the restaurant from the basement as lift was not working. After reaching the restaurant when we complaint to the staff regarding the same, the owner had come and apologized as well which was not required. We just shared that if lift was not working or there is some issue then the watchman should be told to inform diners not to park in basement.
We love the ambience of the restaurant. The place gives refreshing and positive vibes. Coming to the food what we have tried till now:
Lemon Iced Tea- Classic ice tea. We like our iced tea strong and that is what they served us.
Mushroom cappuccino- We have no words for this soup- this was too good. Basically mushroom soup served in a coffee cup with foam. Loved the flavours of the soup. Good balance of garlic and mushroom.
Roasted tomatoes and garlic broth- Amazing flavour of garlic. We loved the quantity of this soup. Fresh tomato soup with coriander and indian spices.
Beetroot and spinach hummus- Served with multi grain khakhra chips; the hummus tasted amazing. The different variety of hummus served tasted really well. WE loved the beetroot hummus a lot.
Low fat cheese garlic bread- It was toasted perfectly and had good amount of cheese.
Carbon and Crunchy mushroom dim sums- The dim sums are indeed really good as adequate filling and sauces are filled in the dim sums. We just feel that they are nothing extra ordinary that they are charging Rs. 360 and Rs. 330 respectively for 4 pieces each. We do not want to compare with other places but honestly we eat 4 dim sums at 5 star hotel in Rs. 360 as well.
Quinoa Penne Primavera- It is prized at Rs. 520. We tried the jain portion. We feel the quantity is really less. WE agree that the pastas are made out of quinoa and that’s why it is prized at such a price. Though loved the pasta. The sauce was creamy and thick. Good amount of veggies were there as well. Maybe they can increase the portion size.
Farm fresh and Pizza verde- We have tried both these pizzas and we loved it. The pizzas are made on the ragi base. Didn’t know that the pizza would taste amazing even like this. Good amount of veggies. A good thin crust pizza. Loved the quantity. Definitely value for money.
Spicy Korean tofu bowl- This was true to its name and was spicy. The tofu tossed in sautéed spicy gravy tasted great. The rice was cooked well.
Coming to the desserts, we have tried 2 desserts and we keep having the same one every time we visit this place because they are so amazing.
Salted Caramel Mudcake- This is made with jiggery and “sanchad namak” what we call as pink salt. Perfect balance of caramel and jiggery.
Valrhona Chocolate Pie- We love chocolate desserts and this is one of best chocolate desserts available in Ahmedabad.
We would have this place a 5 star rating but unfortunately a hair was found in our pizza during our last visit. We were shocked that how come a place like Sante spa cannot maintain good hygiene standard. When we shared about the pizza with the staff, they told they can replace but we didn’t want to have the pizza thereafter. They even served complimentary salted caramel dessert which was not required at all. Also, because of the pricing of few dishes we feel that value for money is not there hence giving a...

Read moreThis is one such single place in Ahmedabad that I have come across which has thought in the direction of serving healthy and wholesome food,so that you can have a guilt free experience. Hence they call it 'spa cuisine' , which truely is a spa that relaxes your body and senses.
Everything in thier menu is something that you would want to try at least once because each of their dishes is an innovation in itself and a healthy version of what you could never think of !
I tried the following:
Thandai milkshake:-This was super flavorful and delicious and out of the league of the regular milkshake flavors.
Activated charcoal lemonade:-It was normal lemonade blended with activated charcoal which gave it black color.
Charcoal dimsums: totally loved the presentation, black colored dimsums with golden sprinkles on it. Went well the the soy dip, but the stuffing could have been more flavorful.
Spinach and beetroot hummus: Being a hummus fan, I can say that this was really wonderful, and I loved it and both the hummus had it's own flavor, but it was lacking the garlic flavor without which the hummus is always incomplete. It was served with multigrain khakra chips, and they make this fresh everyday.
Crackling Midori sushi rolls: Tried sushi for the first time, but didn't suit my palette. Was cold and bland.
Farm fresh pizza: Something you cannot miss here if you love pizza and you don't want calories. Ragi based thin base, topped with super fresh veggies and in house prepared low fat cheese. Loved it. The pizza sauce was very flavorful and gave that aroma of pizza all the time, but I felt that it was quite less in the pizza.
Salted caramel mud cake- They have so many desserts options all unique and healthy out of which this one is quite famous out here. It is made up of whole wheat flour plus no added sugar. Instead it is made up of jaggery , and was very moist and fresh.
Valhrona chocolate pie- This was another best dessert, mostly recommended to chocolate lovers. Thin layer of whole wheat with dark chocolate ganache, tasted amazing!
Overall, the place serves very fresh, flavorful and wholesome food mostly avoiding use of junk ingredients and white flour. They are replacing with the healthy ingredients in as many things as they can.
Also the ambience is super nature friendly. The white theme soothes the mind whereas the lanterns and dishes are also Eco friendly. Even the straws are made up of leaves.
The service is fast, and the staff is really...
