Ah, Ambika Dal Vada in Ahmedabad! A legend for its crispy fritters, but also legendary for its queues. Made from a savory lentil (dal) paste mixed with spices and deep-fried to crispy perfection, the dal vada is the true star of the show. It's no wonder people wait in line for this deliciousness! Be warned – the lines at Ambika Dal Vada can be epic, even during off-peak times. So factor in some wait time, especially if you're craving a fix. The dal vada itself is undeniably crispy and flavorful. The complimentary chopped onions and chilies add a nice kick. However, here's a suggestion: consider adding a chutney option on the side. While delicious, the dal vada can get a bit dry after a while. A chutney would add a welcome layer of moisture and flavor. Speaking of moisture, pair your dal vada with a refreshing beverage like buttermilk (chaas) to truly complete the experience. ( You can buy from the shop which is right outside, as Ambika dal Vada doesn't serve this ) Despite the potential wait, Ambika Dal Vada is worth experiencing for its crispy and flavorful dal vadas. However, the lack of a chutney option is a point to consider. If you manage to snag a spot ahead of the queue, grab some extra onions and chilies, and maybe even bring your own chutney for dipping. It'll elevate your dal vada experience to new heights! Here, the dal Vada is to be purchased in grams. There's a separate queue for ladies and they accept UPI payment. If you’re from Ahmedabad and haven’t had Ambika Dalwada, are you even living right? 😂 We stopped by recently and OMG, the dalwadas were hot, crispy, and just hit different. Perfectly golden from outside, soft and flavorful inside — they’ve absolutely mastered the texture. Add some raw green chillies on the side and that tangy chutney… bas bhai, game over. They serve it fresh, straight out of the kadai — no stale stuff here. And the best part? Even if there’s a crowd (which is 90% of the time), the line moves fast. Their system is smooth, and you can literally smell the dalwadas from a distance 🤤 It’s the kind of place you stop at randomly and end up munching way more than planned. Doesn’t matter if it’s evening snack time, monsoon cravings, or just “khali pet” mood — Ambika Dalwada never disappoints. Super pocket-friendly and always satisfying. If you’re around Ahmedabad, just follow the aroma and find your way to this iconic spot. Pro tip: go with friends, order extra, and don’t forget to grab some spicy mirchi on the side. Thank me later!

They delivers what they says. A dalvada fried in peanut oil which is best in the taste and they serves you the ones which are just fried in front of you. Not only dalvada, also they serves it with some chillies which are good options to eat with. Since long they are master in this, with more and good quality they serves best - just price is slightly high but you'll get better quality in front of such price. Once taste the food, if it touches your heart - Go for once again

The Ambika Dalwada receives a rating of 3.5 stars based on its famous dalwada making and reputation as a crunchy and well-known dalwada center. The fact that it has been serving dalwadas for many years suggests its expertise in this particular dish.

One positive aspect highlighted in the review is that the place provides a covered and spacious area for eating and resting, making it suitable for enjoying a meal with family. This can contribute to a comfortable dining experience.

However, there are some drawbacks mentioned. The first is the cost, indicating that the prices at Ambika Dalwada might be relatively high. Additionally, during the rainy season, there may be a long waiting time, which can be inconvenient for customers.

The parking facility is reported to be lacking, which suggests that finding parking space might be challenging for visitors. Furthermore, the review mentions that there are no proper seating arrangements, which can affect the overall comfort of diners.

Lastly, the hot atmosphere due to the heat from oil and burners is mentioned as a negative aspect. This could imply that the cooking process generates a significant amount of heat, potentially making the dining area uncomfortable.

It's important to remember that reviews are subjective, and individual preferences may vary. While the Ambika Dalwada seems to have its unique selling point in dalwada making, it is recommended to consider multiple reviews and personal preferences before making a final decision about visiting the...
