There is actually sweet and sour experience attached with the place, as the name goes...
Let's start with the Sugar part (Pros) first up - The ambience is for sure a 5/5 with nothing else that they can do to make it more marvelous. Right from the wooden decor to the layout of the place - it all looks like a part of a... while providing you varied options from dining to buying some authentic soap bars. Next up is the service, and the staffs are really courteous and makes u feel privileged with their timing of deliver and helping you out with choices
Spice part(cons) - I was really upset to learn that they don't have any hot beverages other than coffee/tea, as I ordered for a hot chocolate it was responded with a vague nid by the waiter. It was a real bummer given the hype the place crates, it kind of acted as cold waters in a burning fire for me
The Baskin 31 Robins outlets just adjacent to the restaurant didn't meet with standards it seemed to have set. Again my choice of scoop- Honey nut crunch( one of the most fast selling of BR 31) was unattended to..
So just the two things I had landed up in my head to have were out of stock or were never there and I ended up having bits and pieces from other's plate and yes a nice fragrant shower gel decently priced to end up my bitter sour experience with a sweet smell towards the end
Alas! Would recommend any one travelling to & fro on the Mumbai -Ahemdabad Highway, conveniently located at around 175km from central...
Read moreSugar 'N Spice is a popular restaurant chain in Gujarat that offers a variety of cuisines, from Indian to Mexican to Thai. I visited their outlet in Valsad City, which is located in the Sai Leela Mall on NH-8. The restaurant has a spacious and clean ambience, with comfortable seating and friendly staff. The menu has something for everyone, whether you are looking for a quick snack, a hearty meal, or a sweet treat.
I ordered the Punjabi Thali, which came with dal makhani, paneer butter masala, mixed veg, raita, salad, papad, roti, and rice. The food was delicious and filling, with rich flavors and generous portions. The paneer was soft and creamy, the dal was smoky and spicy, and the roti was hot and fluffy. The thali also included a glass of buttermilk, which was refreshing and cooling.
For dessert, I tried the Chocolate Brownie with Ice Cream, which was heavenly. The brownie was warm and moist, with chunks of chocolate and nuts. The ice cream was smooth and creamy, with a hint of vanilla. The combination of hot and cold was irresistible.
The service was prompt and courteous, and the bill was reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. I would definitely recommend Sugar 'N Spice to anyone looking for a satisfying dining...
Read moreOn my way back from pune on 13th March 2021 @ 1600hrs, I saw a banner of sugar & spice saying 25km away and enjoy dilli ke chole bhature. Thought sugar & spice as a reputed brand decided to take a stop at the restaurant. I had ordered a chole bhature & aalu matar paratha at the restaurant. To my surprise the chole had a dead INSECT inside which seemed too much frustrating.. Informed the restaurant manager upon which he was eager to clear the table and asked me if he can get some south Indian dish.. I was very much disappointed by such an incident at a very reputed brand. The mamager said we are extremely sorry, and I am also a employee at the restaurant. He didn't charge anything for the insect rich food served at the restaurant. My appeal to everyone visiting the restaurant to take care, because now a days brand value doesn't make much of difference and at most avoid Sugar& spice. I am sharing few pics of my...
