Tea Post — Restaurant in Gujarat

As it's a "Apni chai ki dukan" outlet of Teapost, the sitting and setup and ambience is bound to be good. Just like all other similar outlets, BUT, the service is too slow. I ordered one chai and one plate of thepla(which they just have to heat up in microwave), it took them more than 30 minutes to serve the order. It was not at all crowded, nor had any rush at that time, yet they took more than 30 minutes to deliver such a small order. Had the same experience for 2 times in a row at this outlet. Also, when i visited this place previously and order a plate of Upma, it took 45 minutes to serve that and the taste was really pathetic. Couldn't complete it as it was tasteless. They really need to work on speedy service...

They are over dependent on electricity and still they don't have a back up. They cannot even prepare tea if there is no electricity.

In my case power went off for more than 40 minutes and we (with super senior citizens) were made to simply wait on chairs which do not have a proper backrest. What irked me most was that the manager was not available as he perhaps went into a hiding.

Whatever be the quality of tea, I don't take this kind of ordeal for a cup. Their charges are also pretty high. I would rather sip...

5 star for ambience. 3 star for service. 5 star for taste. (though there is delay)

I assume they were not able to manage the unexpected crowd of 2nd week of Sunday after they open here.

Wee were told many routine items like Thepla, Maskabun etc were not available at 7pm Sunday.

Also it took 45 minutes to deliver our Tea and Garlic bread, after following up several times.

This wasn't our first time here, but earlier it was at late night like 10ish and service was excellent when only 2-3...
