Bikanervala is a popular Indian restaurant and sweets chain, known for its wide variety of North Indian snacks, traditional sweets, and casual dining. Here's a general review based on the brand's overall reputation:
Pros:
Authentic Indian Taste: Bikanervala is renowned for its authentic flavors, especially when it comes to North Indian delicacies, chaats, and sweets. The taste of their traditional offerings, such as Raj Kachori, Chole Bhature, and Gol Gappe, is typically appreciated for being consistent and delicious.
Variety of Menu: The menu offers a wide range of vegetarian items, from savory snacks and meals to delectable sweets. It's especially popular for Indian desserts like Rasgulla, Kaju Katli, and Gulab Jamun. Their festive hampers are also a hit during special occasions like Diwali.
Quality and Hygiene: Bikanervala generally maintains high standards of hygiene and food quality, which is one of the reasons it’s trusted by many customers. Their sweets are made with quality ingredients and they avoid artificial preservatives.
Family-Friendly Environment: The restaurant has a casual and family-friendly atmosphere, making it a good spot for casual dining, especially for vegetarian food lovers. The seating is usually comfortable and the decor is clean and appealing.
Multiple Locations: Bikanervala has several outlets across India and internationally, which makes it easily accessible in most cities.
Cons:
Price: Some customers feel that the prices are on the higher side, especially for the portion sizes and the types of food offered. While the quality is generally high, some find the cost a bit steep compared to other local options.
Crowds and Wait Times: During peak hours, especially around festivals, the restaurants can get very crowded, leading to longer wait times for seating and service.
Inconsistent Service: Depending on the outlet, service can vary. While many locations are known for their efficient and friendly staff, a few outlets have been noted for slower service or occasional delays in order preparation.
Limited Non-Vegetarian Options: Since Bikanervala is a vegetarian establishment, it might not appeal to those looking for non-vegetarian dishes, although it is well-loved by vegetarian customers.
Verdict: Bikanervala is an excellent choice if you're looking for authentic Indian vegetarian cuisine and sweets, especially if you enjoy North Indian snacks or are seeking festive sweets and treats. However, it may feel a bit expensive for some, and the experience can vary slightly depending on the location and time of visit. Overall, it’s a trusted name for quality and taste in Indian food.

Read moreThird class service. Yesterday I ordered 2 plates chole bhature through swiggy. One bowl of chole was missing, when I visited Bikanervala they completely blamed swiggy delivery boy. Today I ordered one bhalla papri and four packets of raita boondi. When delivery boy delivered the items, I instantly checked the carry bag. One packet of raita boondi was missing. I asked swiggy delivery boy to come with me to Bikanervala. Swiggy delivery boy was honest guy. He visited Bikanervala with me. Bikanervala guy told me that we have only 3 packets of raita boondi. I asked him that why you didn't call me about shortage of item. He was speechless. Then I came back to my place and opened bhalla papri bowl, this time I found red chutney and green chutney missing. Think hundred times before placing order at this...
