HOUZ Cafe Bar — Restaurant in Gurugram District

On Saturday / 27May’23 we had a family get together of around 20-22 people at the Houz Café Bar, First floor, Worldmark, Sector 65 Gurgaon.

The overall experience, right from booking the space until the day of the get together was out-standing. The staff is very efficient, customer centric and much organised in servicing such large gatherings.

Since it was a family get together, our requirement was for a place with good location, not very loud music, multi cuisine menu and good variety of drinks. When we went through the location and menu of Houz Café Bar, it was fulfilling all our requirements and thus we contacted the café for booking.

Booking Space: I contacted Mr. Prashant for booking and explained him our requirements. Since it was a weekend, he mentioned that the music will be little loud but he can accommodate us on the second floor. He immediately shared the picture of the area that he said he would block for us and the music will not be that loud. When I told him that we are 4-5 families and have one child under 10 years of age he understood the situation and agreed to accommodate the child. Since we were booking in advance and all the discussions were happening with Prashant only, I asked him whether he would be available on the day of the party so that there are no last minute hiccups and he said he would be there. On 27May when we reached there, he was the first one to greet us at the entrance. The 3-4hrs time that we spent there, I found Mr. Prashant very polite, accommodating, listening to all the guests very patiently and addressing their requirements promptly.

Location & Ambience of the café: The approach, lighting, music, décor, colour of the furniture, cleanliness are all just perfect. The atmosphere was very vibrant, the DJ was good, one side balcony sitting and one side waterbody gives it a very open look. The whole place is very bright and welcoming. There is ample parking in the basement and the entrance to the café is just opposite lift so it is easy to locate.

Service: Mr. Prashant assigned Mr. Pradeep Chand and two other boys to look after our group. I advised him to accept drinks or food request from all guests but please bring it to my son’s notice so that we can tally the bill at the end. Pradeep and team were very prompt, efficient and organised in serving the guests. All the guests were served as per their requirement and at the same time, he was making sure that it is being informed to my son. With the result, the settlement of bill was very smooth as we could tally all the items ordered.

Food & Beverages: The Houz bar café menu is very elaborate with variety of options to select in soups, salads, munchies, grills, Asian cuisine, Pizza, Pasta, Indian cuisine and wide range of mocktails and cocktails. The portion size is good and reasonably priced. Some of the dishes we ordered were Bruschetta, Cheesy Maxican Nachos, Juicy Chicken Pops, Lemon Garlic Prawns, Chicken Wings, Fish, Pizza’s, and all had excellent taste.

Expensive but every penny was worth it. We went there on a weekend and it just felt awesome. The highlight of the evening was “the live singing show”. Not too loud and not too mellow. The perfect and the best combination. This place has a seating arrangements indoor, on the balcony, terrace (open), and outdoors. If you are picking the balcony seating arrangements, you’ll be able to see the perfect watermark view with the water flowing and all the lights around. The quantity of the food is great. And the drinks are beyond amazing. We ordered, veg Bruschetta. The cheese was sweet and sour at the same time. Loved the combination of the taste. We ordered chicken smoky balls. It melted in mouth. They gave handful of them. The presentation of the food was great. The taste was upto the point.

We also ordered main course. Paneer Lababdar and Tandoori Roti. Sweet, spicy, and a bit buttery. The best part of the food here was “the mixture of different flavours”.

As I said, drinks were the best. We ordered, passion fruit and peace smoothie, Juke Box, and banana and dates premium shake. Everything was as we expected. Giving the taste of each and everything added.

It's a retro/modern resto with multicusine bar snacks kinda menu and the interesting one .. Good place with positive vibes with indoor-outdoor kind of seating options, decent ambience for post-office chill out.. Food preparation and drinks are amazing .. we had cheesy fries with peri peri flavor, and to our surprise, the very simple looking thing that we have frequently, was so delicious 😋 just right spices and mozzarella cheese, served sizzling hot and amazing presentation.. the chef 👨‍🍳 gets 10/10 👌I can visit over again to just have those perfect fries.. Other thing I tried was spring roll, again amazing preparation and presentation, just right amount of stuffing, crispy from outside and soft n juicy from inside and right combination of dips to go along..their chef really knows his stuff.. rare to find in these post-pandamic era of lay-offs and cost-cutting where it's always a compromise on either taste or quality.. My heart goes for such businesses, who are still maintaining the quality of food and services in these testing times. Highly recommend people.. it's a...
