Disappointing! We ordered a paper masala dosa, mix veg utthapam and their special naivedyam thali which was for 395 and dosa/utthapam were around 200. They call themselves authentic south indian yet their sambhar is like water, one you make at home WITHOUT any vegetables! How is it even sambhar without drumsticks or any other vegetable?

Then next disappointing thing that ruined the whole experience was their coconut chutney which was actually 70 percent dal and remaining was the actual coconut in the coconut chutney, very shameful when street vendors can provide actual coconut chutney where this big restaurant is adulterating.

The Maharaja thali is designed by someone who is a stranger to common sense. They give you paiysam which doesn't have any dry fruits, rasam that should be given in a glass is given in a tiny katori, 2 malabar parathas which are fully made of maida, small nibble of lemon rice, huge lump of white rice, and 2 drops of green chutney hidden below the 3 puries. The only thing good in that thali was the buttermilk, the beetroot subji and the papad. thats it. Honestly a bad joke it was.

Coming to the mix veg utthapam, it was an eyesore, thin, very less amount of vegetables and small portion size for the price. Not much of a taste and here comes the surprising part. They gave a green mint chutney with the utthapam which wasnt given with the maharaja thali (Duh...) and that was the only saving grace.

Paper dosa was nothing spectacular either, tasted just like any dosa a roadside shop in north india would make. What was baffling was the masala filling (yellow aloo subji) was bland, no spices, and didn't feel like it belonged in a masala dosa.

I drove 45 kms to this naivedyam branch hearing good reviews on google maps versus their patel nagar branch but left with a bad taste in my mouth. The paan helped a bit. Don't go here. If you are from north delhi, try going into any branch of Shree Durga Dosa Corner. Taste is leaps better and...

First things first - The place is accessible only thru stairs.

Seating is kind of ok. Not expecting much

Ambience - they try to create a typical South Indian ambiance with all staff decked up in south indian attire, serving rasam as welcome drink, serving the food on banana leaf was refreshing.

About the food, rasam / chaach were really good. We ordered fried idli , it was a disaster - rather it was fried idli pakoda with baking soda as ingredients

There were good spread of dosas and chutney with good taste

Since i have lived in South Indian for a long time, i was expecting a much better and experiencing the real Kesari bath, unfortunately it was pretty much our typical north indian sooji ka halwa.i wish kesari bath was prepared in a typical south indian way.

In the end they served paan at a top up price, it was again a pure disaster. It was beetleleaf wrapped in sugar. Especially when the staff offers it as a add on towards the end of meal, the expectations was to elevate the dine in experience. It was a very poor decision. It kind of destroyed the taste buds.

Suggestion to the hotel management - either stop offering pan or change your vendor

The staff was least interested in addressing the feedback, ek kaan se suno n doosre se nikalo.

Only the taste of dosa saved the name for this place

The pricing was decent n one of the lucrative factor for the crowd to visit

If i were to come again - it will be because it is easy on pocket and surely i will not be experimental, just have basic dosas n go. The whole menu spread is a gimmic. They can only...

Naivedyam Restaurant in Vatika City of Gurgaon in Haryana is part of a chain of South Indian Food Restaurants located in the various cities of India. It serves authentic South Indian food in a Hindu religious type ambiance. The Vatika City Naivedyam Restaurant in Gurgaon is located on the first floor, in the Vatika City Market in Sector-49 on the Golf Course Extension Road, Sohna Road. The staff of this restaurant is quite friendly and respectful. The service time is reasonable. The moment we sit inside, complimentary welcome drinks, buttermilk or rasam, as per our choice is served. South Indian food is always a safe option when searching for good vegetarian food. The quality and the quantity is good. Idlis, dosas and vadas etc which are all made of rice and lentils and served with coconut chutney and sambar. Just avoid the shakes, ice creams, and traditional desserts, like payasam which are milk-based. It is a casual dining Indian restaurant which offers a wide range of delicious and authentic Indian cuisine. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with friendly staff and a good selection of dishes. The menu features a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, as well as a selection of desserts. Naivedyam is a perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal with family and friends. During weekends and holidays, there is a waiting period too, for which they have made an arrangement for sitting, outside the restaurant. They have a washroom on the outside of the restaurant which is very...

Authentic South Indian flavours, wonderful ambience, relatively reasonable pricing, lots of varieties to choose from, staff with a smile on their face. When else do you need to dine with your family and friends. This is one of the branches of a well known food chain of Naivedyam in Delhi NCR. The ambiance is similar to the other Naivedyam. They serve food on bronze cutlery with banana leaves on the top. All of the items taste different and freshly made. They will serve a small portion of welcome drink upon arrival: choose from either butter milk (chhanch) or tamarind juice (rasam). I never miss their sweet & sour Dahi Wadai and mildly spicy Fried Idlis. If you are a large group, then definitely try their largest Thali. Samber, Rasam, and 3 kinds of chutneys (mint, tomato, coconut) which they serve are excellent in their respective taste profiles. Filter coffee is also great and the milk they use is pretty rich. They have 2 unique sweet dishes, worth trying: Naivedyam special (ice cream with fruit chunks & chocolate syrup) and Mangalore Gud-Bud. The servers, waiters and cleaners are always attentive and perform service with a smile. An open air common parking is available outside, though it gets crowded sometimes. Also, sometimes you may need to wait outside the restaurant to get a table, especially during holidays.
