Molecule Gwalior — Restaurant in Gwalior

Located in the city area, Molecule is one of the most posh places in Gwalior. It was a sunday night and this is the whole review.

AMBIANCE :- Since it is located on the the Rooftop, ambiance of the place is really Good and elegant. The lighting is also pretty mesmerising. The interior of the place is also luxurious and rich. There was live music night when we visited , The singer was pretty good.

🍱 FOOD:-

🥘PRAWN SUSHI :- Prawn Sushi was just horrible in taste with white sauce on the inside. Tasted really bad. Did not taste like a actual sushi. They even forget to give us chopsticks with it. We didn’t even get it after asking the waiter.

🥘 HAWAIIAN DAHI KEBAB :- These were okayish in taste. The fritters were crispy on the outside and tender from the inside, a little sweet and bland. Tasted good with the pickled Pineapple.

🥘 PRAWNS :- Prawns were good in Taste but only had 5 pieces in one plate which i thought was very less according to the pricing.

🥘 DUMPLIMGS :- Dumplings were good in taste but the portion again was very less.

🥘 GRILLED FISH :- The grilled fish was served along with mashed potato. The grilled was really good in taste but the mashed potatoes were very dry and bland in taste which was a little bit of a disappointment.

🥘 MEZZE PLATTER :- The mezze platter wasn’t something special, you can find better hummus , pita & sauces at other places in cafes.

SERVICE:- The service was okayish since it was a sunday night and weekend rush was evident . There was no 1 dedicated waiter at the table, we had to shout and call for waiter again n again. But the staff behaviour and attitude was humble and good.

CONCLUSION:- You could visit this place of you have a high budget and want to have a party like feel over...

I recently visited Molecule and had a very disappointing experience. Out of the two items I ordered, the Hara Bhara Kabab was decent in taste, but the Red Thai Curry was extremely poor. It was overwhelmingly sweet, to the point of being inedible. When I requested the waiter to make some modifications so that the dish could at least be consumed, my request was outright declined without any attempt to help.

To make matters worse, despite the unsatisfactory service, the bill included a 10% service charge. When I raised the concern and mentioned that I did not wish to pay for poor service, I was told it was mandatory as “mentioned in the menu.” This left me feeling cheated, as service charges are discretionary, not compulsory—especially when the overall service was far below expectations.

Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had. The food quality was inconsistent, the service was unaccommodating, and the way the service charge was forced on customers felt unfair and exploitative. I would strongly advise others to think twice before...
