I recently tried Bansal Amritsari Kulcha in Chandigarh, and honestly, it was fantastic. The kulchas there are something else—crispy on the outside, soft and stuffed generously with spiced potatoes and paneer inside. They serve it hot with butter melting on top, along with tangy chutneys and a spicy chickpea curry on the side. The flavors were rich and comforting, just like authentic Punjabi food should be.

The place itself is simple and always buzzing with people, mostly locals who clearly know what’s good. Eating there felt like a real local experience—lots of mouthwatering smells and the lively atmosphere really added to it. The portions were big, so you definitely get your money’s worth. Besides kulchas, they have other tasty snacks too, which made the meal even better.

What stood out was how everything tasted so fresh and full of warmth, like you were experiencing true Punjabi hospitality through food. It wasn’t just about eating; it felt like I was tasting a part of the culture. I left feeling very satisfied and already looking forward to going back next time I’m in Chandigarh. There is a proverb that looks can be deceiving. It is totally appropriate for this place. The place looks shabby and dull but the food quality and quantity that totally justifies the price. The food is amazing that to the food gets served fresh and with proper hygiene. And I have been to this place a couple of times and they are always consistent with their services but don’t expect anything fancy from this place as this the most authentic food in town. Sometimes, you get fascinated about the outer layer of the city that you tend to forget the real hardcore of it. This place is in Panchkula and someone brought me their to taste their kulcha. So, I did it and I must say, it’s the best Amritsari kulcha I had so far. It is really good in taste but it’s very heavy. So, please don’t before finishing the first in your plate. I came to restaurant for dine to taste hot and crispy kulcha,,I ordered Chur Chur Kulcha for dine in. My order came after 20 minutes, I didn’t do my breakfast just to enjoy this kulcha. When I take first piece of kulcha and drop it in Channa it was absolutely cold, just like sabji bnane k baad use Bina garam kiye 2 ghante baad khate hai. I asked to boy to check even I hold his finger and put it in Channa just to realise how it is cold and k requested him to change with fresh. After 6-7 minutes he came with channa only and by the time Kulcha was get cold. I supposed ki Kulcha la rha hoga garam garam but 10 minutes passed not he return nor Kulcha came. Then I went to billing counter and just asked about this service. He simple said ki order bohot hote hai to ho jata hai thanda. Even he didn’t bother to say simple sorry and Sir aap bethiye main fresh bhijawata hun.
