Review of Guddu Kachori, Faridabad:
Overview: Guddu Kachori is a well-established eatery located in the Old Market of Faridabad, near Agresen Chowk. Originally, the shop operated in an open area and was renowned for its exceptional kachoris, which set a high standard in the local food scene.
Current Experience:
Reputation: The shop is known for its name and historic significance. Although it has built a strong reputation, maintaining the quality of its offerings has become challenging over time.
Food Quality: The kachoris are still quite good, praised for their crispy texture and flavorful taste. However, they use newspaper for packing, which raises health concerns. Switching to a healthier packing material would improve the overall experience. Pros:
Taste: The kachoris are crispy and not oily, served with a flavorful aloo sabzi spiced with hing (asafoetida) and accompanied by raita/chanch.
Price: The pricing is very reasonable, with a plate of two kachoris and sabzi costing Rs 30, and an additional glass of raita priced at Rs 10.
Service: The eatery operates on a self-service basis with standing space for around 20 people. The service is efficient, but there is no seating available. Cons:
Hygiene: Hygiene is a significant concern, with the cleanliness of tables, cutlery, and staff falling short of acceptable standards. This impacts the overall dining experience negatively.
Location: Situated in the crowded Old Faridabad Market, finding parking can be challenging. It’s advisable to avoid bringing a car and to park outside the market area to avoid traffic issues.
Overall Assessment: While Guddu Kachori remains a landmark and offers tasty kachoris at affordable prices, improvements in hygiene and packaging are needed. The location's congestion also poses a challenge for a smooth...

Read moreHighly overrated!! Avoid this, if you don’t want to ruin your morning. I had heard from friends about this place and went there in the morning (11am) for breakfast.
The place is very basic. The packaging of the kachori and sabzi was out front. Chaotic and being packed in a plastic polythene (panni). The hygiene was a little disappointing. But I got hopeful that such dingy places usually have amazing food.
Alas, I got the token and finally took my plate and walked inside. The taste was so underwhelming that I actually checked if there was any ingredient missing. But still I thought I’l get 5 plates packed for my family. The experience was horrible and and even after insisting that I’d pay for extra sabzi, they were pretty unprofessional.
There’s a place in sector 17, Sohan sweets, it’s way better with better hygiene, taste and...
