I recently visited a restaurant and had a very disappointing experience, which I feel compelled to share. Given the scorching summer heat in June, we expected at least basic hospitality upon arrival, such as being offered water immediately. However, we had to ask multiple times before we were given a water bottle with two plastic disposable glasses placed on top for self-service. As soon as we set the glasses on the table, they were blown away by the cooler, and we had to ask for replacements.
This was just the beginning. Despite the restaurant not being particularly crowded, our food took 30 minutes to arrive. The service was slow and inattentive, adding to our frustration.
To add insult to injury, when we received the bill, we noticed a charge for four glasses at Rs 2 each. While the amount was not significant, it was the principle that bothered me. Out of curiosity, I asked the owner if they charged for all their crockery. He explained that they had switched to disposable glasses because their steel or other material glasses were not being cleaned properly and developed an unpleasant smell. Hence, they passed the cost of disposable glasses onto the customers.
This experience made me think about the potential future scenario where customers might have to bring their plates or be charged for disposable ones. This practice is not only inconvenient but also environmentally unfriendly. The use of single-use plastic contributes significantly to environmental pollution, adding to the already overwhelming plastic waste problem.
Moreover, the restaurant offered no alternative to bottled water, meaning customers had no choice but to pay for it. Even for cold drinks, only cans were available. This lack of sustainable options was disappointing.
Overall, my experience at this restaurant was quite poor. The service was subpar, the wait time for food was unreasonable, and the use of disposable plastic for basic necessities like drinking water raises serious environmental concerns. I hope the management considers improving their service and adopting more eco-friendly practices...
Read moreSanjha Chulha is a really nice and simple place where you can enjoy delicious North Indian food with friends or family. They have a great variety of both vegetarian and non‑vegetarian dishes, but I feel the non‑veg dishes have the upper hand because of their rich flavours and amazing taste. The Butter Chicken here is creamy and delicious, with soft pieces of chicken that melt in your mouth. The Chicken Tikka is smoky and juicy, and the Mutton Rogan Josh is packed with flavour and goes perfectly with hot butter naan. Even the vegetarian dishes like Kadhai Paneer and Dal Makhani have a rich, homestyle taste that make you want to come back for more. The vegetarian starters like Paneer Tikka are soft, well‑marinated, and have just the right amount of spice. The staff is very polite and quick, making sure you get your order on time, and they always try to understand exactly what you want. The service here is very fast, and you don’t have to wait too long for your food, which is great when you’re hungry. The ambience is simple, clean, and comfortable, making it ideal for a casual lunch or dinner. The best part about this place is that the taste is very consistent every time you visit, especially in popular dishes like Chicken Biryani and Tandoori Chicken. The prices are also very fair for the quality and quantity of the food you get. They have a lot of variety, so you can always try something new every time you visit. All in all, Sanjha Chulha is a great spot for anyone looking for delicious North Indian meals with both vegetarian and non‑vegetarian options. The Chicken Butter Masala, Kadhai Paneer, Dal Makhani, and soft Butter Naan are always worth trying, and you can be sure you’ll leave satisfied and happy. The quick service, tasty food, and friendly staff make it a place that you can visit again and again. It’s a simple, welcoming spot that serves fresh, flavorful, and filling meals every time, making it a perfect choice for family dinners or a quick bite with friends. Highly recommended for anyone who loves North...
Read moreI Was in Faridabad for work and we had some time to kill, knowing it was lunch time and we would have to wait until lunch hours were over before we could head in for the next meeting. We decided to fill our tummies by making optimum use of the opportunity. So I called In a old college friend of mine and asked him if there was a decent restaurant nearby and he guided me to Sanjha Chulha. Located in the local market of sector 19 of Faridabad near the Badhkal Chowk on NH 24. This was the only restaurant in the vicinity surrounded by houses and had kitchen and billing in the first floor and the dining area in the basement. Interiors were average but the place looked newly done up, as it was neat, clean and sparkling as if we were the first people ever to visit it. Not much of service staff was present, but the Air conditioning was top notch. They had a Very basic, but comfortable seating. We ordered for paneer butter masala for the Vegetarian gentleman and for the two of us carnivores we ordered a handing chicken on the recommendation tour attendant, one with Laccha parantha and missi roti's. Paneer butter masala was an average preparation, I could hardly taste any masala on the over cream drowned Cottage cheese cubes. Absolutely Avoidable. Handi chicken was delectable with a thick gravy onion tomato gravy with four huge peices of chicken drowned into it. It was mildly spicy and was the Highlight of the meal. Overall a decent place to have your moderately...
