Cafe Khoblu is a warm and cozy in the bustling city of Shimla, that provides the perfect combination of modern meets traditional.
Everything in the cafe, starting from the interior, the ambiance, the layout goes along to give you the authentic rustic experience of a cozy cottage in the Hills.
The cafe has ample amount of seating with table for four, group table and table for two or solo travelers with outdoor seating.
The food is absolutely amazing with ample amount of quantity for one person to eat. Some of the items on their menu is simply fast food that you must have already tried, so go for something local or their smoothies which was an absolute delight to have.
Their menu is priced higher compared to other cafes in the area. I ordered 4 things, that included 2 beverages, rajma chawal and kheer that costed me Rs. 958, which I felt could have been much cheaper.
Their local delicacies are based on the harvesting season so you might be disappointed if you are visiting in the month of June.
It is easily accessible by wheelchair and has seating for babies as well.
The view from the backside outdoor seating was absolutely amazing, and while enjoying the view I could only imagine what this would look and feel like during snowfall.
They also have an animal ambassador, a local house cat by the name of Khobli(image attached with this review), who is adorable and very friendly. I had the chance of petting her and enjoyed her company as she sat beside me while I had my food.
It's a great place to visit once, if you are visiting shimla for a short trip. 10/10 would visit this...
Read moreI recently visited Café Khoblu, and I must say, it turned out to be a memorable experience. The very first thing that caught my attention was the stunning view from the café. It’s absolutely jaw-dropping — the kind of scenery that makes you want to just sit back, relax, and soak it all in for hours. The atmosphere is calm and refreshing, making it a perfect spot to unwind.
I tried Siddu here for the first time. It’s a traditional Himachali dish, and I was really excited to taste it. To my surprise, it reminded me of some fare we have back in Uttar Pradesh, yet it carried its own distinct flavors and texture, which made it special. The preparation was fresh, and the taste was comforting. After that, we ordered cold coffee, which was quite good — smooth, balanced, and refreshing.
While the food was enjoyable, what truly stood out for me was the ambience. The interiors are cozy, with a welcoming vibe that complements the scenic beauty outside. The servers here deserve special mention — they were polite, attentive, and well-behaved, adding to the overall pleasant experience.
Overall, my visit was more than satisfying. If you’re in the area, I’d highly recommend Café Khoblu for its views, peaceful atmosphere, and warm...

Spring roll -5 ⭐ Lemon ice tea- toooooo lemony and sour, even the colour was milky. Momo- we were served stale momos. They smelled and it felt like we were served yesterday's left over . Pasta - a long white hair was found in food. 🤢 When we confronted them. The chef did not come personally, the staff refused to cancel the order, we were 5 friends each one had 1 momo and two extra. They told us" ye apne khaa lie hai to cancel nahi hoga order" there were two plates of momo. They had even added red sauce pasta in bill , we refused to pay for that. Then they removed it from bill. There was no sign of sorry from them, did not even apologised and looked as us as we had committed a sin. I personally will not recommend this bad cafeto anyone and will never go there myself.
I have attached a video of hair, if you look closely you will be...
