Coy's Cafe — Restaurant in Himachal Pradesh

If planning to visit Palampur anytime make sure you DO NOT plan to visit this place. The one star being given is only because of the ambience. Food is served is stale and without flavorless. Owner has put in best efforts for an ostentatious menu but same falls flat on the face. The chef has no idea of how the dishes are to be prepared which are stated in the menu. I guess they can do far better if they keep the menu restricted to Indian or simple dishes. Staff is not properly trained to answer customer queries. This might happen to you that you order something and after waiting for an hour you get to know that wrong order has been prepared. Manager is never available to listen to any of the complaints/feedback as he is always busy with his relatives stating that property itself. The coffee menu is extremely expensive but not the worth. I was genuinely puzzled by the ratings and the reality of this cafe: SPEAKEASY. The ambiance is cool and stuck somewhere between retro-colonial. The pretentious menu offered items from different world cuisines, from Tibetan thukpa to Spanish Ajoarriero. The website proudly proclaims: Rated as the BEST menu in town! But you can't eat the menu. MOST menu items were not available. The servers did not know much about the items, couldn't answer questions about the ingredients or how they were prepared. Only the cocktails with whiskey and dark rum were available - none of the cocktails with tequila or vodka were available. Only Indian whiskey was available. The chickpea salad I ordered contained mostly potatoes, and not a speck of green, as stated on the menu. My cocktail was drowning in sickly sweet cranberry juice. On my recent trip 🚗 to Palampur found this amazing cozy & friendly cafe - The Coy's Cafe and boy it was full of pleasant surprises. Not only they serve the best coffee from the finest selections be it hot ☕️ or cold 🧋 brews but also delicious continental fusion food 🍪🍩🌮🥪🍕. The cafe is under a management of Nishant who is friendly and boy he knows everything there is to know about coffee. I ended up spending the entire day⏳ at this lovely cafe that was suppose to be otherwise a quick pit stop 🚥.

Pros: ☕️ Great Coffees (hot/cold/nitro - you name it, they have it) 🫖 Infused Teas (certainly not your regular cup of dip green tea 🧇 Nom Nom Continental Food 📸 Awesome POVs (hues & saturations) 👩‍💻High speed Wi-Fi
