High & Seek Hotel - Shoghi - Shimla — Restaurant in Himachal Pradesh

It's a gem of a place hidden away in an offbeat part of Shimla. If you're looking for a place on the outskirts of the town, hidden in the lap of nature, away from prying eyes and with a spectacular view High and Seek is the place for you. I visited this rooftop Cafeteria on a Sunday and it was empty. The high of the ambience is mostly the scenic view from the place and the sweet dog resting in one corner of the cafe. I'm not a big fan of the furniture they had it was a tad bit uncomfortable. The menu was elaborate on paper but most of the items were unavailable, which was a downer. But despite this, whatever they did have was delicious and fresh. We ordered fresh lime soda and it was refreshing (made with actual SODA and not sprite!!! With just the right amount of sugar). Their sandwich looked simple but it was unique, because it wasn't lathered in mayonnaise but fresh green chutney,cucumber and tomato. Their fries were too good and their kathi roll was yummy on the tummy. It was a cosy, homely cafe with fresh and unique food. The owner is a really benevolent chap who even helped us with our busted tyre. I'm only taking one star away coz they took alot of time for serving the food....but it was worth the wait. What an amazing experience! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The staff? Super polite, always smiling, and ready to help with anything. You can tell they actually care about your comfort.

The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable—like a home away from home, but better. The bed felt like sleeping on clouds, and the view? Just wow.

Maximum points at all places. Food - check Ambience - check Parking - check Washrooms - check. If you're traveling from chandigarh to narkanda and looking for a lunch/dinner pitstop, this should be your place. Plenty of parking space in front of the restaurant, views are surreal and offers a lot of photogenic spots for everyone and not just influencers. Food was great and we had thukpa and momos....
