We were supposed to report at Woodbine Hotel across this place for a trek. The trek leaders got late by an hour or so and we decided to have a bite as it was already lunchtime. I cannot tell how flabbergasted we were by the interior!
It appeared to have been designed and planned with a calm mind and a passionate heart. We were surprised to find nobody inside. At the same time, we felt lucky to be alone at such a marvelous place.
And then came the food. We had Alfredo Chicken Special pizza and lime soda that day. And then, the same pizza again, along with fresh lime soda and tiramisu the evenjng our trek ended and we came back to Manali. Again, honey ginger lemon tea the same night. And again, came back the last night to have herbal tea and tiramisu, after spending the whole day at Old Manali.
Love the vibe. Enjoyed stories by the chef-cum-trekker from Spiti and the nice boy who serves both as...
Read moreLocated in Aleo , about 15 -20 minutes from Manali, we went there after a friend highly recommended the restaurant-and it definitely did not disappoint. They have a limited menu of Italian and some hill station favourites like thenkuk and momos. We loved the thin crust pizza which was perfectly crisped with absolutely yummy cheese melting into crunchy veggie toppings and delicately flavoured chicken . It was very cold when we visited and they had a warm fireplace on ….our corner table overlooked the misty hills across & the juicy momos and thentuk, made for a perfect winter meal ! One thing that is definitely worth mentioning is the level of cleanliness-I think it is one of the cleanest commercial kitchens we’ve ever seen -the owner , who is also the chef , ensures a memorable holiday dining experience...
Read moreWe found out about Pizza olive in 2018 when my wife and I were stuck in Manali due to the flood situation. This restaurant gives you a homely connection. The couple who started this restaurant shared their story on how passionate they are about Italian food and how they built their restaurant ( which is built out of stones and wood). The ambience and warmth is instantly connectable. The food is amazing and has the best Italian taste in Manali. The place is across the river near Naggar, hence it's not always crowded. The serving staff always had a smile on his face. Prices were decent and similar to other Italian restaurants. If you get a balcony sitout table, then you can enjoy food with a valley view and the water fall in the distance. Whenever I visit Manali, I make sure at least one visit...
