Disappointing Experience – Poor Customer Service and No Consideration for Dietary Requests

During our drive to Manali, we stopped at Zorba Restaurant for lunch. We ordered a simple meal – tadka daal, rice, roti, and raita – and clearly mentioned that no chilli should be added as we were feeding our 2-year-old child. Unfortunately, they completely ignored this request and served the daal with red chillies floating on top.

We had specifically chosen this place so our child could eat, but they showed no consideration for dietary requirements. When I pointed this out, the waiter returned in 2 minutes with the chillies removed – clearly, the daal was the same, just scooped out. That’s not how you handle food requests, especially for children.

I usually don’t write reviews, but this experience really triggered me. The place lacked professionalism, and the attitude of the staff was careless. When I asked for a bottle of water, they simply said, “It’s not for sale,” which was very strange and disappointing. It makes you question what kind of service they are trying to provide.

People are coming in bulk, but they’re clearly not being treated well. Paying customers deserve respect and proper service – this is not a free facility. Unfortunately, Zorba failed on both food quality and customer care. Would not recommend, especially if you have dietary needs or are...

Place is good vibes are fantastic food is also good...but staff and owner needs to learn how to treat customers....people sitting in ur place and purchasing alcohol from u are people for good families...all they need is just good time and good behavior...we used to be regular customer of zorba used to visit here every week and used to make good bill...the last time i visited was very bad experience.....we ordered food and repeatedly asked the waiter to being it up...an hour after waiter come to us telling that kitchen has been closed....it was 10PM when we ordered and at 11 he came to us to tell that kitchen has been closed....when asked he told that 10:30 was the last order time but our order was placed 30 mins before...we called the owner but his reply was very unprofessional and unpredictable...he didn't talk in a behaved manner....he told us to leave asap as they need to close down the restro....when he even locked the gates and we had to climb over the fence to get out...sir, people coming to ur place to have some good time deserves some respect...ur guests walked out empty stomached....this isn't good... I used to visit every week or even twice a week but haven't visited...

Someone with the name Rohit Singh has recently reviewed the food at this restaurant and since I found hate speech and misleading information in that review I want to share my experience here. I could have responded directly to him but Google limits the responses on Google profiles. Here's my message to him..

As a frequent customer of this restaurant, I feel compelled to address your concerns. I've been dining here regularly because the food quality is exceptional—it's like home-cooked, but even better. The hygiene standards are impeccable, and the hospitality is always warm and welcoming.

The claims about the use of non-edible colors and harmful substances in their recipes are simply not true. In my experience, this restaurant takes great care to ensure that only the best and safest ingredients are used in their dishes. It is possible that this review stems from a misunderstanding or, unfortunately, from an external source with different intentions.
