Barbeque Nation – Platina Mall, 5th Floor Occasion: Boyfriend’s Birthday Celebration Offer: Express Lunch Buffet at ₹550 + 10% Zomato Discount Rating: 4.5/5
We recently dined at Barbeque Nation, Platina Mall, for a lunch buffet to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, and it was a delightful experience! We prebooked our table in advance, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free visit. The express lunch buffet was priced at ₹550 per person, and we got an extra 10% discount through Zomato, making it even more pocket-friendly.
Starters: The spread of starters was impressive, especially the non-veg options. We had a wide variety to enjoy, including: Honey Chilli Potato (perfectly crispy and sweet-spicy) Crispy Salt and Pepper Corn (a nice crunchy treat) Paneer Tikka (well-marinated and grilled) Tandoori Chicken Wings (succulent and flavorful) Chilli Chicken Dry (just the right balance of spice) Pani Puri & Papdi Chaat (fresh and refreshing) Fried Fish Fingers (crispy on the outside, soft and delicious inside)
Each starter was prepared with care, and everything was served piping hot. I must say, the starters alone were enough to make the visit worthwhile.
Main Course: For the main course, we indulged in a variety of dishes, and everything tasted great: Chicken Lababdar (rich and flavorful with a creamy gravy) Chicken Chilli Gravy (had a lovely tangy twist) Chicken Fried Rice (perfectly cooked, paired well with the gravies) Chicken Biryani (flavorful with tender chicken pieces) Dal Makhni (incredibly creamy and rich) Schezwan Noodles (a bit of Indo-Chinese flair) Crispy Veg, Salad, Soup, and a variety of Breads served at the table
The main course dishes were perfectly balanced and offered something for every palate. I loved how they brought the breads to the table, fresh and soft.
Dessert: For desserts, we were treated to: Semolina Cake (unique and pleasantly sweet) Chocolate & Vanilla Ice Cream (a classic combo) Vanilla Cake with Jam (soft and moist) Angoori Gulab Jamun (a perfect sweet ending)
Each dessert was a delightful bite, and the Angoori Gulab Jamun was especially memorable for its syrupy sweetness.
Extras: I also ordered a mocktail for ₹49, which was a refreshing addition to the meal, and the birthday cake (₹99) was a nice gesture from the restaurant. It tasted great and added a special touch to the celebration.
Service: The service was impeccable. The chef personally came to check if we were happy with the food, and the staff was attentive throughout. Their hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable.
Final Thoughts: With the Zomato discount, our total bill came to ₹942, which was an incredible deal for the variety and quality of food we got. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I would highly recommend Barbeque Nation at Platina Mall for their delicious food and excellent service. It's definitely worth the visit, especially for...

Read moreA Disastrous Dining Experience I recently had the misfortune of dining at BBQ, an establishment that, unfortunately, falls far short of any reasonable standard of quality. From the moment I stepped through the door, it was clear that this was going to be a disappointing experience. The first red flag was the overwhelming crowd. The restaurant seemed understaffed and disorganized, with long wait times for both seating and service. The staff, while seemingly trying their best, were clearly overwhelmed and lacked the training to handle such a large influx of customers. The menu, while extensive, offered little in the way of vegetarian options. The few vegetarian dishes available were bland and uninspired, a stark contrast to the meat-heavy offerings. It's disheartening to see a restaurant that caters primarily to non-vegetarian tastes, especially in a country with a significant vegetarian population. When the food finally arrived, it was a further disappointment. The dishes were poorly executed, with little attention paid to flavor or presentation. The ingredients seemed subpar, and the overall quality of the meal was simply unacceptable. The management's lack of oversight was evident throughout the dining experience. The noise level was unbearable, with tables packed too closely together. The waitstaff, though polite, seemed to be constantly running around, unable to keep up with the demands of the crowd. In conclusion, BBQ is a prime example of a restaurant that prioritizes quantity over quality. The poor service, lackluster food, and chaotic atmosphere make it a place to avoid. I would strongly advise against dining here, as it is a waste of...
