Lagan — Restaurant in Howrah

The place is nice. I went with one of my friend to try out the dishes out there. We first ordered hariyali chicken from the starter section....uff....the chicken was really tender and the flavours were cool too. Then there was this chicken lababdar and tandoori roti. I must say that the roti was not as taxing on the jaws as the tandoori roti of other eateries and the chicken was tasty. The chicken had been marinated with red chilli powder and, yes, it tasted awesome.

Finally I ordered biriyani, and it's experience was not that good. The rice was little difficult to chew and I have had better biriyani. Overall I would say that a person should visit the place and experience...

Lagan's vibe is great, creating a nice dining atmosphere. We tried Mixed Rice, Mixed Chow Mein, and Chili Chicken for four people, and the Chinese dishes were quite good.

However, the excitement dropped a bit when we ordered Chicken Reshmi Kabab as a starter. One piece had a weird smell, suggesting it was stale. It felt like they didn't check it before serving, leaving us with mixed feelings about the overall experience. Despite this, the enjoyable Chinese food and the restaurant's pleasant ambiance salvaged the visit. Improving the quality check, especially for starters, could make Lagan an even better...

The worst restaurant I have ever ate. They don't even know what should be the actual taste of a dish. They make a spicy dish as a sweet one and claims it to be the authentic taste. Even the grills and tandoors also doesn't have proper flavour. I would give it a zero star if I have had that opportunity. Never going back there again. The management also is very poor. They cant even handle a little crowd during this festive season. They keep people waiting for hours where there were empty tables available. Being a person from the same background it was worst restaurant...
