Read moreHad dinner at this restaurant with my family today, and the overall experience fell far below expectations in terms of both food quality and service.
The quality of the food was substandard and did not justify the high prices. We ordered Chicken Shorba soup, which was served in a deep, narrow bowl that made it difficult to use a spoon properly. We noticed that almost every customer was struggling to consume their soup due to the awkward design of this bowl, making the experience unnecessarily inconvenient. The mismatch between the pricing and the actual taste and quality of the dishes was quite apparent.
The dining area is very CRAMPED, yet they continue to reserve seats for customers, forcing walk-ins to wait outside for 15–20 minutes. The staff appeared poorly equipped to manage customer flow. Additionally, the spotlight positioned above our table was uncomfortably bright, making it difficult to enjoy the meal.
Adding to the disappointment, they included a SERVICE CHARGE of ₹56 (5% of the bill amounting to ₹1128) WITHOUT OUR CONSENT. As per consumer protection guidelines, SERVICE CHARGES cannot be imposed unless the customer explicitly agrees. We had to request its removal and ask for a revised bill. When we asked to see the original bill that included the charge, we were told it had already been thrown away at the dustbin and could not be retrieved — which seemed very suspicious and unprofessional.
This kind of practice is unfair, especially for customers who may not check the bill carefully before making a Contactless payment

Read moreI recently visited Hoy Punjab and tried some of there dishes, so here’s my experience:
Ambience: The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, but the space feels small and doesn’t quite match the expectations for a brand like this. It gets crowded quickly, and the limited seating can be a downside.
Parking: The parking facility is inadequate, which can be a hassle, especially during peak hours.
Wait Time: The place is quite popular, so a lot of people visit. I had to wait for 20 minutes before getting a table. To avoid this, I’d recommend calling ahead and reserving a table.
Food: I tried some dishes, and here’s my take:
Cheese Naan and Butter Naan: Both were delicious, with the cheese naan being my favorite. The buttery, cheesy flavor is a perfect match for their curries.
Chicken Tikka Masala (Punjabi Style): This was a standout dish, with rich, authentic flavors that paired wonderfully with the naan.
Chicken Changezi: Another good option if you’re a fan of spicy, flavorful curries.
Mint Chutney: The complimentary chutney was excellent, enhancing the flavors of the curries and bread when it is paired that combination is exceptional.
Amritsar Kulcha is actually an overrated aloo paratha i won't recommend it. ( ₹230 is not justifiable)
Desserts: I tried the Rasmalai and Lychee with Rabdi. Both were delightful, but the rasmalai stood out for its perfect texture and balanced sweetness. The lychee with rabdi was also a refreshing, unique dessert.
Pricing: The food, though flavorful, is on the expensive side.
Overall: Hoy Punjab is a good choice if you’re craving authentic Punjabi dishes. Calling ahead for a reservation is a smart move, and be prepared for...
