Cafe Elaichi — Restaurant in Hyderabad

Dear All,

This incident was reported around 9:30pm near secunderabad elachi restaurant they were bursting crackers on middle of service road and everyone travelling by Stopped and when questioned by a rider travelling with his son he was scolded with abusive language and seeing them when we all around questioned them they were using abusive language and threating us saying go and complaint to police which is near by they are taking Bride and there language was " koi bhi kuch ukkad nahi saktha ja ke police mein complaint dhekenge kya ukadenge" they were so sure and furious that we were unable to capture whole video and definitely the restaurant has a cc camera and after reviewing that you will know How many people gathered and how they threatened us, no respect for democracy and no respect for police which is 300mts away they are very sure no one can do anything to them, please confirm my statement after reviewing cc cameras set up in restaurant or by govt on road In a hurry to reach home couldn't intimate to nearest police station but definitely by 10am tomorrow morning will share the complaint copy here as they were so threating to public and no respect to police or judiciary, humble request to please do through investigation in this.

Update( I am updating my 2 year old review)-

Like I said previously, this cafe doesn't need my endorsement for its high standards for - cleanliness, hygiene and good quality ingredients.

Today, I had a chance visit to their kitchen, store room and washroom.

6/5 I will rate it 6 out of 5 for its gold standard of cleanliness, hygiene, safety and well organised pantry.

5/5 for food quality. Everything is made fresh based on the order. You won't find any precooked curry base or precooked ingredients in the pantry.

5/5 for its pest control. With the kind permission of its owner, I checked the receipts and certificates of pest control.

5/5 for a hygienic unisex washroom.

5/5 for service and courteousness of staff. Right from chef to janitor, everyone is willing to go extra mile to set the gold benchmark.

There is highly comfortable AC seating with both high chairs and comfy sofa style chairs. There's another open air section.

There are a couple of things which impressed me so much- 1. they offer wet wipes the moment you enter the cafe 2. They don't force packaged mineral water (seamless supply of free potable water).

Their tea is out of the world.

Ease of payment: They accept cash /upi /credit cards.

One of the coolest places to hangout.

I loved its Elaichi tea....

Atmosphere: it was nice. We were the only family at the place then. Good lighting. But bad maintenance. Tables and Seating is bad placed.

Service: Spoke in English and Hindi both, but stewards were having difficulty in understanding. When asked for water and not bottled water as 'Smart', he did bring the same 'Smart' bottled water. And he kept on insisting to have it without understanding what we wanted.

Food: Asked for Red Pasta (Arabiata) Pasta. It was just made of ready made subway sausages and pasta in it. You can see the color of pasta. Asked for Mirchi bajji, it was made good almost, but he added clove so much that it literally forgot that I'm having a mirchi bajji. Parents had Chole Bature, they've said it tasted good. Asked for fresh lime soda. Couldn't say it is bad, it just tastes as good as masala soda being sold on streets around tank bund sweetened with quantity as good as 2 glasses. But costing it at this place at 6 times more. So not worth it at all. Asked for Lassi, its not bad but it's not good either. I can rate it least from all the places I've tried.
