It is a delayed review. We have ordered food from the cloud kitchen outside Missamma, the Cafe Amrutham. We liked the food and then decide to visit Missamma on a Sunday morning. We were extremely tired setting up our home after returning back to India. Wanted a little time out. The ambience was good. We were offered a two occupancy table. We had ordered one masala dosa, and Vada first. Vada and Dosa have arrived. We could not find the supplier lady for a long time, I went and told her that we need a water bottle. We then got one that was deformed and can’t stand at all. We savoured the food and were again looking for the lady who was serving us. It was already 10-15min we were looking for her to order another plate Vada and poori. I had shown my dissatisfaction. She came a took an order but the food was never delivered even after another 20min. I was annoyed and went to the counter. Told the guy in the cash counter about the same. But to my surprise there was no response. It was as if I was talking to myself. After 3-4min I lost it and spoke to him in Hindi as he spoke to someone else in Hindi. When I asked him if he doesn’t know Telugu, he said yes he doesn’t know. He could have at least told me that he does not know the language rather to ignore me. Finally we left the place paying for water ever we had and cancelled the remaining items. Then the manager had come and asked us to plz accept apologies and the food. It was just warm but not hot as it was prepared in time but was not brought by the waiter. It was such an annoying experience and we never wanted to visit the place again after our weekend start was spoiled due to untrained and unprofessional waiters and a the place that...
Read moreThe restaurant has a nice ambience with a decent amount of seating, though it’s not a very large place. The food is tasty and well-prepared, which makes it worth visiting.
However, the service is quite slow even when the crowd is minimal, which takes away from the overall experience. Another downside is that the staff bring in tiffins from their outside restaurant without covering them, which doesn’t look very professional.
The biggest issue is with their takeaway offers. The menu card states 15% off on all orders (10% on breakfast menu card), but in reality the discount applies only on the total bill, with conditions (minimum ₹300 for breakfast, ₹500 for other items). Because of this miscommunication, I ended up losing the discount twice. Honestly, it would have been cheaper to order from an app where the offers are clear and straightforward.
Also tried a takeaway, and for the quantity they provide, the side portions are very less and not sufficient. This is something they really need to look into.
Overall, good food and ambience, but the service and misleading offers need serious...
Read moreVisited the restaurant today for lunch. The ambience was okay—nothing particularly impressive, but comfortable enough for a casual meal. On the plus side, the prices are very reasonable & the staff was very courteous and polite which is always appreciated.
I ordered the Ghee Sambar Rice, but unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The dish lacked basic and essential flavors—no tanginess, no masala, and barely any salt. It tasted more like a dal khichdi you'd expect in a hospital rather than something served at a restaurant. Definitely not up to the mark.
I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving the flavor and overall quality of the food.
Overall, while the ambience and pricing were acceptable, this dish particularly needs improvement. Based on the pricing and general experience, I'm giving it a...
