Rumaan Restaurant - Hafeezpet — Restaurant in Hyderabad

I had a horrible experience at Rumaan Restaurant and I would never recommend this place.

I ordered Afghani Chicken, and it was extremely salty. When I informed the waiter, he did something shocking, he tasted the curry directly with a spoon that touched his hand, then put the same spoon back into the curry again. After tasting, he simply said “yes, salty,” took it away, and then brought it back. When I asked if it was freshly made, he admitted they had just added more gravy to reduce the salt instead of replacing it.

The roti I got had gone cold and hard, so I asked for a replacement, but they denied it. Even after the so-called fix, the curry was still salty, and worse, I found that some pieces of the chicken were blackened inside. When I raised this with the manager, he dismissed it saying it was “burnt.” But it clearly wasn’t burnt,the piece was soft, and the black color was blended inside the meat, which is a clear sign of spoilage.

This is not just poor service, it’s highly unhygienic and unsafe for consumption. Serving spoiled chicken is a serious health risk. I will be attaching pictures as proof.

Review for Rumaan Restaurant – Hafeezpet

I’m a student and a resident of Old City. My sister’s in-laws live near Rumaan Restaurant in Hafeezpet, and today I visited the restaurant with my elder brother (Bhaijaan). We ordered 2-piece Mutton Mandi with gravy and one water bottle. The total bill was ₹498.

While the taste was genuinely good, I was very disappointed with the quantity of rice served—especially for a two-piece Mandi. The portion was much smaller than expected. In Old City, for ₹500, we usually get a full plate of mutton mandi with enough rice for three people.

I would like to suggest increasing the rice quantity for better value.

Another major concern was hygiene. The cleanliness of the restaurant was very poor, almost zero. For the price customers are paying, basic hygiene should be maintained—no matter the area or location.

The experience was marvelous, I really like the food and services ( the guys out there are very polite) must try the apricot delight. It was really delightful. I really enjoyed the food and env . Full vide check. I know you guys really think . I got the money to say this. I know I know you may get confused with the previous bad comments and ratings. I even thought the same and I was like full bombarded my friends . And when I went there I was not having that much hope . And then everything that was coming on my table .
