A Hidden Gem Under the Flyover – The Bhadrachalam Cafe Tiffins
If you're craving delicious tiffins with a side of ambiance, look no further than The Bhadrachalam Cafe Tiffins at Krishna Nagar. While the indoor setup is as typical as any other tiffin spot, it's the outdoor seating under the flyover that truly sets it apart. Especially during the rains, when you can enjoy the gentle breeze without getting wet, it creates an unbeatable atmosphere that heightens the dining experience.
Now, let’s talk about the food. Every dish I tried was nothing short of extraordinary. The texture and quality of each item were on point, and the accompanying sides were truly a standout. The peanut chutney, ginger chutney, and the spicy karappodi (a must-try!) take the flavors to another level. The deliciousness of the tiffins is something you have to experience, especially in the evening when the surroundings add a magical touch.
If you're a fan of hot drinks, this is your spot. Be it coffee, tea, or even Horlicks, each drink exceeded expectations in terms of quality, far surpassing many other local tiffin joints. While the food tastes just as good in the morning, it’s the evening experience that makes dining here a memorable event.
The Bhadrachalam Cafe Tiffins is more than just a meal – it’s an experience, especially for those evening diners. Whether you're a local or a visitor, it’s...
Read moreRecently, we visited The Bhadrachalam Cafe, and it felt more like a takeaway spot rather than a proper dine-in restaurant. The cafe has only 4 to 5 tables for dining, which makes it a bit cramped, especially in the evening when it gets crowded. It could definitely benefit from adding more tables to accommodate diners.
As for the food, we tried Muddappapu Avakaya, Gongura Rice, and Veg Pulao. One interesting thing was that they only started preparing the rice after we placed the order, mixing it with Muddappapu Avakaya or Gongura, which was a good touch. The Muddappapu Avakaya Annam was delicious, though there’s room for improvement to make it even better. The Veg Pulao was outstanding—undoubtedly one of the best I've had in Hyderabad.
However, the Gongura Rice was a letdown. It tasted bland and lacked the distinct Gongura flavor I was hoping for. It felt like eating just plain rice. I was quite disappointed with that. Hopefully, they’ll improve the flavor in the future.
On the plus side, the prices are reasonable considering the place that is in , and the portion sizes are generous. Overall, while the experience was good, some dishes left me wishing for more in...
Read moreWent with family on 17th and 18th January, 2025. When looking for a restaurant/cafe on 17th evening for some evening snacks, came across this cafe. Liked the food very much. Hence the second visit on 18th. Tasted plain dosa, upma pesarattu, uthappam, ghee kaaram dosa, saambaar vada, dahi vada, mysore bonda, hot pongal and paramaannam followed by coffee and tea. All items are very tasty and scrumptious. Chutneys and sambar just tasted like homemade. Coffee and tea are very good. Prices are very reasonable. Service is very good. Highly recommend this cafe for authentic South Indian tiffin and delicious coffee and tea. All the very best, Bhadrachalam cafe. Maintain the same quality and you will go places.
